 Heres a thought ... do any of the MEN on the forum dye their bonce :?: .

I was going to say, "Don't be so bloomin' daft woman!" Then I saw the rest of the thread and now I think your question might have to be "Do any of the MEN on the forum NOT dye their bonce?":D:D

Similar reasons here, but that my ears also stick out WAY to far for my liking

I would worry about the shape of my head - I'm sure I've got some pretty weird ridges hiding under my hair  A bit Klingon like  There is a guy on my train that has such a strange shaped skull I can't help staring

My brother has a shaved head and although it suits him it does make him look like a bit of a thug :?

....not that I'm planning on shaving my head though :lol:

I have a female colleague who had her head shaved in front of 300 children at our school to raise money for Cancer research after our headteacher died a few years ago. It was such a brave thing to do!

She used to have really long gorgeous black hair, but when it was growing back and spiky all over it looked SO trendy! á la "Ripley in Alien" style.... 8) She keeps it like this now :D

Two of my brothers are baldies and two have full heads of thick hair (one the colour of a carrot!)

Am waiting with interest to see which way my boys go......I believe the mother's family is more significant in this matter.

Him Indoors has a full head of silver hair which he thinks is still jet black!

I will happily admit that I have my hair dyed every eight weeks.

Only recently have I allowed some of my natural colour to grow through and had another colour and bleach put through it.

Due another colour in a few weeks and am often stuck for colour inspiration, I've had red and blond, near black and white (a la badger ) purple put through it copper too and nearly every shade of blond has gone in there at some point.

My mum used to say that my hair will fall out with all this dying it but it's a nightmare as it grows so thickly and I have to have it thinned to take some weight out of it.

Now.......do you think I could copy your fab hair Paola and still be able to go to work.........:lol::lol: they always seem to get fussy over things like hair colour....hmnn

The evening I first met The Hubby I had bright orange & pink hair.

Strangely he can't remember this at all (but still remembers that I had a very skimpy top on  )

Have you done blue yet Andrew?

I saw a guy with jet black hair & blue streaks the other day & it looked FAB :P

 Oh my goodness - thats who he looks like! Saw the picture of Phil when you went to the Edinburgh get together and thought he looked familiar  Ben Kingsley 8) Are you sure they are not related?? :D

Unfortunately not Snowy - Ben is dark skinned and dark eyed like me, Phil is fair with bright blue eyes. But Ben Kingsley lives near here - I am so tempted to go and knock on his door 8)

This pic is one of my favourite ones of The Boy - he took a few photos of us for the folks one Christmas

Note, his deeply un-sexy socks!

To get back to hair-dying - I have just coloured my hair again with great success! :D:D I have been using Herbatint for about 9 months now. It doesn't have ammonia and keeps other nasties to a minimum. But I have found it very effective and long-lasting.

The problem I had was that the colour was so intense that I looked like a Goth for several weeks, even though it was supposed to be brown. This was embarrassing. The packet said you can mix together just some of the liquids and save the rest for next time. I felt unsure of doing this because I have long thick hair and therefore assumed I would need a full packet. This time I bought the mixing bowl and application brush and tried mixing just half the liquids. It has come out absolutely the right colour (chestnut brown) and I am really pleased with it. :D:D And I have enough left over to use the same next time.

I can't remember the exact price, I think it was £6.95, but if I can colour my hair twice with that, it seems amazingly good value. I am thrilled! :D Just got to get it cut now . . . :(
