Am currently filling in my UCAS application, just have to edit the personal statement now and get it checked again, then I can pay and start the process of sending it-Scary stuff! BBQ + quiz ... they still don't realise I don't eat beef burgers! Just been to quite a few pubs + ended up in a club, was good night I'd do it myself, but I can't reach *heh heh heh* National Championship poultry show or whatever its called, Claire. craftyhunnypie
Ha! When does your course actually start? We are house hunting there again in a couple of weeks Got a few to look at round Tregaron/ Lampeter/Aberaeron. As well as having my hair done in town ( Kim Rees, down street near M&Co)& celebrating my birthday. I bet it's flipping cold there compared to when we were there is August! Brrr. Club in Aber? Is it on the front - called the Cambrian or something? Have you been in that funny pub that looks like the Rovers Return - in a street to the left when you head to the North Beach. Not been in myself - but it always looks interesting! You are so lucky to be partying...oops I mean studying there. Have fun Emma.x
Lewis
Don't actually know when it starts - Friday or Monday? Yeah it is cold, esp early morning after the fire alarm!! First rain today, so not too bad. Its called something like Why Not, but used to be called Yoko's so everyone calls it that I think the pub you mean, soo loud where they invented 'The Admiral' ? (4 vodkas + redbull for £4!) Of course I didn't have one Thanks May see you in a few weeks!

ubereglu
Have you noticed one of the houses with cut back railings yet Lewis? I daren't tell you the story, it was something that happened to someone whilst my sister was studying and living in Aber.

Lewis
Have you found out where your nearest chickens are yet? Theres a house with an 8ft wall up from the road to their garden + its on that level, they have chickens! Also met a 3rd year doing same course as me thats obsessed with chickens + had 10 in a bag for dissections - hadn't heard of Omlet though Nope, haven't seen it yet Liz
ubereglu
Nope, haven't seen it yet Liz Well, one of the students got really drunk and fell out the top floor window, and fell onto the railings, you can guess what happened from there on. craftyhunnypie
Ooo nasty - that poor student. Will you have to do lots of dissection Lewis? I remember doing a rat ( that stunk) & a piglet. The piglet was so small & cute. A real shame we had to cut it up. But it was very interesting. I later progressed onto humans I couldn't do it these days I don't think. Just been told we need to buy the dissection kit. I've dissected/post mortemed a cat with one of the vets watching me on work exp, they were pretty sure what it had, just needed to be doubly sure. CallyChook
oh I'm so jealous, this post has reminded me of my fresher year in 2000!! I absolutely loved uni (went to Manchester) it was the best time of my life - even if I never did use my degree in human anatomy and ended up going back to study nursing 2 yrs after completing the first degree!!! There's big bits I can't remember... I know they were the best bits, coz not only was I drunk but I must have had the money to buy the booze!!! Jilly's rockworld three nights a week, the cinema twice a week, and of course *ahem* learning a lot on my course Here's hoping you too have the best time ever xx
