The Dogmother
I'll get around to it in December when work slackens off a bit I hate shopping anyhow.
chickencam
We have quite a few bits this year that we have bought when we have seen them, and several other things in the pipeline. I can't help feeling good about Christmas this year, I don't know why I am really getting into it already.
Seagazer
The trouble is when I've done early shopping before I have often 'lost' the presents before Christmas, then had to go out and buy the same thing again. I found a present in my wardrobe that I bought for one of my neices about 3 years ago! I've got DD and YS's birthdays to sort out first I think although I'm going to start planning what I'm going to buy and if I see anything then I will buy it. I'll just need to write down somewhere about where I've put the presents
chickencam
I must admit we lost and forgot about a waffle maker which we had bought for SIL's birthday, we gave her some vouchers and a couple of DVD's, then remembered the waffle maker a few weeks later. So that was one Christmas present sorted

Cinnamon
Got a couple more under my belt yesterday. I see Lush now have their christmas goodies in too,but my branch is shut for a refurb for the next two weeks, which is annoying.
chickenNutter
Nope. It is illegal to do Christmas shopping before the 1 December in Lancashire. You people are sad!
craftyhunnypie
No no - we are organised. I'm hoping to have some money in December for spoiling me rather than buying Xmas prezzies - which will all be bought by then. I can then have some pamper sessions, evenings & days out with hubby & friends, go the Xmas markets & enjoy the whole lead up to Xmas. sadietoo
I haven't really started, but I have thought about it, and spurred on by other postings on here, I'm tempted to buy my two darling children Kindles...My DS is an avid reader so it will help with shelf space, by DD reads less but is currently in France for her year abroad at Uni, so I think it would be very useful to both of them... I'm thinking of buying my OH a WIR...it's not what he wants..but it will save him building me the one he promised me 18 months ago

CallyChook
no xmas shopping done here until December the 1st, even with the new baby coming I still want that special December fuzzy feeling. November's paypacket will be tiny as it's then that I drop to half pay, so after paying the bills, there will be nothing but child benefit to spend anyways (lol). So.... OH will be getting a big fat zero, same as we gave each other last yr and the yr before. Son will get something ridiculously overpriced from the littlewoods catalogue. Lil miss will be 2 months so really pointless buying her anything to be honest, better we spend some uninterrupted mummy daughter time under the tree looking at the lights Parents will get... hmmm... bottle of wine? maybe a tin of biscuits too if I have the cash, and my sister will receive the only proper present, except this yr I may have to change it to a half dozen eggs in a hand-painted box as I really will have no money whatsoever! Bah humbug. The lottery is ruining my Xmas, it's just cruel. Come on, my numbers have to come up SOMEDAY!!! PS I am a Pagan so shouldnt really be doing xmas anyways... it's just all that shopping fever makes me ever so jealous. Last yr having vowed not to do it I spent about £400 which I know is modest to a lot of people but to us was HUGE! I also worked nightshifts in the hospital on xmas day, boxing day, NYE and NYday. Quadruple bah humbug. This yr having hubby off work and me at home too will be all the xmas we need, together with a real tree and mug of cocoa I'll be happy enough x
