Chucky Mama
Before you say anything I am really really sorry I always start keeping an eye out for Christmas pressie bargains around now. I like to be prepared, get bargains, hate the Christmas rush and like to spread the cost. So far I have bought **3 sets of these books for neices** - **These for ES who loves Jelly Bellys (1/2 price of 'normal' bellies!** and **and a couple of these** Anyone else started or have any good pressie ideas? Cinnamon
Yep, my stocking bags are already half full with goodies for the girls,& I have a couple of the bigger pressies under my belt too. I spent £40 on bits & pieces in John Lewis this week, but got £10 off with my partner discount, so guess where all my shopping will be done this year? Chicken shack
I must admit I have. I bought my three grandsons a few bits yesterday. Like you I hate the rush around Christmas and when you are looking for something percific you can never find it. I bought the 3 and 4 year old a tourch and binoculars each and the baby a toy they make sounds when you push the butttons. I told myself and OH that that is all they are getting this year as we bought them a tree house and he just at me.
Space Chick
I have bought LOADS of things for my nephew.... and he hasn't even been born yet My sisters due date is today I haven't bought anything for anyone else though
Gelbel
I brought my best friend's present when I had a brainwave the other day and added one of the DH's usual stocking presents to the basket while I was at it. The S-I-L has come up with ideas for my nephew (poor lad's b'day is Christmas Day) and brother's presents - so I might was well order them this afternoon (seeing as the weather is that bad there is nothing else to do). So I am nearly done - the joys of a small family.
Egluntyne
I've surprised myself by doing a fair bit already, and have 'written' many of my ecards, ready for sending. Saves money and the planet.
sari
I've started a Christmas box..with a few bits in. I hate doing it. My sister buys lots in the January sales, and has all her cards written already ( she makes her own, and sells Phoenix cards too) but I feel this takes some of the " Christmas -Yule" magic away...I like the excitement building up, all the little traditions we have... BUT...my OH was very ill this year, had a nervous breakdown, and was sacked. We had 4 months of unemployment cushioned with some " get lost and never speak about this company again" money form his employers ( a charity!) but money is still tight, as OH was working for an agency after that, and has only just gone onto permanent contact and pay....My sister in law has just been made redundant, so we feel a home-made Christmas may be in order...... * edited to make point that the swear word would have made* Edited October 3, 2010 by Guest

Lavenders_Blue
I bought my first Christmas present this week I wasn't planning to start so early (usually I never do) but I saw the perfect present for my Mum and Dad and it would have been silly not to buy it there and then. The clever bit will be remembering where I have stored it come December!

craftyhunnypie
I've a few ideas up my sleeve. The best one being for my mum, who is normally a nightmare to buy for. So I'm pleased I've had this idea. Hubby will be the hardest this year. Emma.x

Chicken shack
Bought OH on line today. I am so pleased with myself. We were sitting in bed with a cup of tea this morning and he was looking at an old Auction book and noticed that James Stewart used to draw a picture of Harvey his white rabbit and then sign it. OH said that he would probably buy one if he got the oppotunity. We both love the film Harvey it is so gentle. It was cheeper than I thought it would be. I never know what to get him. Charlottechicken
They usually reduce the chocolate coins at some point in November in the Co-op and that's when I buy those. I also get a box of those candy canes from the pound shop to tie to my gift bags with a bit of raffia. I found Cosmopolitan foldaway shopping bags in the 99p store earlier in the year and have bought some to go in gift bags, as well as some smellies from Boots 75% off sale. I also have some Yankee candles I bought online a couple of years ago, the small jar RRP£7.50, I paid £2.30 each but had to buy in bulk, but got six of each scent, all Christmassy. I haven't yet bought anything for my mum, she's the only one I have trouble with. But I'll go along the lines of something to eat, something to wear, something to do, that sort of thing. Lesley
Mostly ready - all home-made foodie stuff but will also buy a few little bits that I don't make. I've got Boots points to buy some presents for littlies - hopefully the three for two ones.

craftyhunnypie
Charlotte chicken, what about getting a Starbucks iced coffee cup ( clear with bulb lid) & putting a ball of Couperwifes £3.50 frillywool in with a set of knitting needles poking out. Something to do & wear in one! Emma.x
