Guest
It was great to spend time with Helen, KateA (and Jeff), Tina & Sophie, Sarah, Jean, Jo (and Carys!) at the Essex rescue today - it was an absolutely gorgeous day - and we had a whale of a time - not least in demolishing KateA's fantastic lemon cake Jeff came and took some proper photos - hopefully kate will point us to an album later! Also the man from the paper came - and took loads of photos! anyway - here's some of mine from today as a taster! http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/pnevard/ChickenRescue02 Phil

Cate in NZ
Great pics Phil. It was great to see everyone again yesterday, the rescues are becoming an important fixture in my social calendar.......a bit of hard work for a very worthwhile cause , but equally a chance to catch up with friends and meet more like-minded (ie chicken mad ) people. And the weather was perfect. Even the Bolton score was acceptable, shame about Charlton's. Jeff was in deep depression yesterday evening there will probably be some much better ones soon - when jeff uploads his - he took loads, and he looked like he knew what he was doing! He can put on a good act Phil Jean wanted some good photos as she's hoping to start talking about BHWT for the WI etc, and needs to get together a powerpoint presentation, so Jeff got volunteered as "official" photographer (well, he has access to a decent camera from work, and has had some basic training in photography, again from work). But I thought he'd ended up getting a bit carried away clipping claws and chatting up the adopters to take many photos. Must have been photographing away when my back was turned He's out refereeing all day today, and I don't know how far he's got with uploading his pics, but I'll have a gentle nag later this afternoon and try to post the link later. Cate in NZ
it asked for a password oh womble Aaaargh, you saw it before I deleted it...... I wasn't quick enough I tried to post a link to the photobucket album in which I've finally uploaded all the pics, but when you click the link it needs a password. I honestly don't have any dodgy photos on photobucket, but equally I'm not entirely sure that I want to make my entire photobucket account accessible to anyone who happens to be interested, only this little album. How do I go about sharing it? Any ideas anyone? Phil?? Sorry Bron
Egluntyne
Create a second "public" account? I agree Afamily....I wouldn't want people looking at or publishing my family photos etc.
Cate in NZ
A bit later than expected with my photo link, thanks to my lack of technical skill (bit of a numpty here ) and photobucket problems. Thanks to Phil's advice I've set up a Picasa web album, and I truly hope that this link works. http://picasaweb.google.com/tomsk321/NorfolkEssexChickenRescue

Cate in NZ
Just doing a quick update on this thread for all those of you in Essex. I think it was mentioned in the original posting that the press were there on the day of the rescue, well I've just heard that Jean & the BHWT have made the front page of the Braintree and Witham Times, and that we're all part of a centre page spread in the Maldon & Burnham paper as well More valuable publicity for the BHWT I've not seen either paper yet, so can't post more details, although hopefully Jean is going to send me copies So, anyone in the Essex area, nip out and get yourself a copy
