When OH came home last night he said it was -11  I thought -8 was bad enough last Tuesday night.

He came from Telford area and said the temperature really dropped when he got past Kettering :(

Had a job to open the eglu this morning to let the ex batts out. I hope it warms up soon, roll on the spring :D

It's around -12C around Towcester according to reports. -13.5C has been reported on twitter by a local newspaper reporter. I must get my thermometer set up outside in a place I can read it. The one inside the greenhouse says -8C at the moment.

Hope it will warm up soon. Our new girls must think they've been transported to Siberia.

Come here for some warm weather folks.

Yes please.

Found where I'd put our other thermometer. It was in the Summer House and is reading -12C and looks like at some point this winter it had dropped to -22C. Have reset it and we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Still the sun is out and there is no wind so it's actually quite nice weather 8)

It is a nice bright day here too, Northants Rutland border.

We were planning to go to the Snowdrop Sunday at Deene Park tomorrow, we went a few years ago and it was lovely also very cold I seem to remember but I have just looked at their website and it says it is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions :( I guess it is difficult to see the swathes of snowdrops through the snow, it is also on next weekend but I am busy with archery then so I can't go :(

Feel as if I must be living on a different planet  Come here for some warm weather folks. .

Me too :D

Plus 7oc here at 4.50pm :shock:8) A bit grey and a little bit misty this afternoon, but no wind and no rain. It was warmer during the week with sunshine  ,frosty a couple of mornings which didn't last long once the sun came out and it warmed up.

I've switched the storage heaters down and didn't light the stove or kitchen fire on a couple of evenings last week.

Long may it last :D

minus 8 in COLD Dorking this am and apparently earlier it was minus 10. Heard on the local radio it got down to minus 18!!! in the Chipstead Valley. The weather enthusiast was very keen as is the lowest it has ever been with the lowest recorded before being minus 17. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Warmer here too. Thermometers are both a little above zero and the snow is softer now. The sky is also cloudy which usually means warmer. Clouds can also mean snow, but it doesn't 'feel' like it will snow - can't say why, perhaps I'm wrong as Mum has had snow. (Where are you Mum?).
