Wow! that's a lot of snow, I hope that you and your girls are ok, mine never want to freerange in the snow, I open the run door and they peer out, then look at me as if to say "Do you think we're stupid?"

 

girls are good - they seemed happy to see me and the corn/grapes lunch I gave them..

actually I think they just were just pleased to see the corn/grapes

 

I dug them out with the snow shovel but my poor lovely husband is still out there with the snowblower

 

so far we're at 17" and it's still snowing...we could get to 2ft by the end of the day

My mother-in-law said they had thunder during snow last week - must've been snowthunder .

Wow, I had to look that up too.

I've been in a horrendous hailstorm with thunder but snowthunder seems such a wonderful thing to see.

I had hoped we had seen the last of the snow here but further North and East they are still having problems.

We had another few inches last night. It's just toooooooooo awful. There must be a thaw soon

Woke this morning to a covering of snow on the ground and huge fat flakes falling. thankfully most of it has now melted. I can see snow on the hills to the South, I hope Blackrocksrock hasn't got it too bad.

 

We are now being battered by gale force winds with torrential rain and the occasional snow storm. Bitterly cold out.

Aaaaaaaaargh I had hoped we'd seen the last of this but I did see on the weather forecast that Scotland and perhaps us here in Cumbria might be in for snow today.

It's 2˚ here but very blowy so feels much colder.

It is quite icy here now though, I've been out in the garden with the hens for half an hour and my hands are frozen now I hope I thaw out, I've got wood to womble later on!

T'was radio 4 this morning, Claire.

 

I haven't been out since lunchtime, when it was lovely but I still have the office window open.

We had a covering of slushy snow which then melted. We now have gale force winds and lashing rain . I can see a few repairs to the WIR blinds being required .

It was much the same here - slippy underfoot and a small amount of drifted snow! - ow the gales too and at one point it was very still then it got up again! Very cold

I have been watching the five day weather animation and looking bleakly at the big white blob over Kendal today.Woke up to a layer of slushy snow and large sleet falling. It's melting now so we seemed to have escaped the worst.

I have lots of snow this morning and it's still coming down hard. The weather forecast talked about sleet last night but this is unbelievable!! Posty just knocked on my kitchen window cos the snow is so deep, my gate won't open!! Trying to psyche myself up to going out and clearing the pathways but it looks jolly chilly out there!!!

Blimey Omletina! I was hoping we'd seen the end of this. Mind you, we moved into this house January 2008 and we had a week of snow at Easter ......3rd week of March.

You've got more snow than the small 'mountain' I was up last week in Germany It looks cold too, with that grey sky. A day for snuggling up.
