Snow

Recommended Posts

Busy day weatherise, frost, snow, sleet, rain, wind and a helping of fog - just no sun!

Driving home from school I thought what a funny day weather wise, set off this morning no frost but wet and misty, by the time I got to school in Rutland a little snow in with the rain. As the children came to school big flakes that quickly covered the playground, ended up with a couple of inches of slush. Driving home at 3.45 VERY dark, foggy and then by the time I got near home heavy rain. As chuckmum6 said everything but sun :(

At least the driving conditions were ok when I was driving, had been tricky at times in Rutland according to some of the parents.

We had a little snow Thursday evening which froze solid overnight. The roads were dodgy first thing Friday morning but all the snow had gone by the time I left work.

Woke up this morning to about an inch of the stuff and it is still falling. OH was out at 6am clearing the drive as he has to go to work. I thought he had left for work but I have just let the Dog out and I can hear him clearing the snow from the lane, I can't see him as it is pitch black out there but I suspect he will clear all the lane before he goes to work.

Snowing again  which is settling on the snow from the weekend which had frozen solid.

Need all this snow to stop now. DD has exams for the next few weeks and she needs to be able to get into school, she has already lost quite a few days schooling with the school being closed and then the rural school bus not running because of the bad weather.
