Snowy
OH works for a company that are notoriously tight - no christmas bonuses, or indeed bonuses at any time, had to buy their own tools for the job etc. A few months ago they were taken over by an italian company so imagine my delight when he came home last night with a hamper full of italian goodies! It was even in a posh basket! We have lime crush (from Devon ); panettone; pesto; what looks like a sweet pepper sauce; onions in balsamic vinegar; tricolor pasta; Lingue langarole (some kind of wafery things); baci di dama (Lady's Kisses - dinky almond and choccy biscuits); a Crostata al cioccolate (chocolate tart from the looks of it) and some italian ground coffee. It was like christmas come early when I was unpacking it all!

craftyhunnypie
Oh wow I am sooooo . I normally get some chocs from Hotel chocolat & hubby a bottle of Port from one of our suppliers. An Italian hamper though - wow indeed. I've always wanted a hamper - I know that sounds really daft. We are the sort of people that would really really appreciate a hamper though, as we love unusual delcacies & nibblies. ( says the woman that bought 7 sticks of different salamis yesterday at Manchester markets). he he. Ah well. Emma.x
abwsco
How lovely Years ago DH and the rest of the staff used to get gifts from his work until a new manager but a stop to it. They don't even pass out the gifts that suppliers send to the shop floor and instead keep them for the office staff
craftyhunnypie
Did you know that an employer gets approx £150 per employee to spend on them? Be it corporate gifts, lunches, outings etc. My boss is very good at making sure I get my gifts etc. ........( my hubby). Emma.x

Snowy
We have had similar things in the past, when he has worked for food companies - Nestle used to give a turkey and a box of samples of the years new products; Walkers (hams) used to give a selection of pork stuffings, sausages in bacon, pork pies, and a christmas cake; but they were all functionally arranged in cardboard boxes. This is a toilet roll manufacturer! And the hamper itself was fancy red card filled with black shredded paper and all done up in gold bows! A 'proper' hamper
