My bigger "little boy" spent the evening with OH and me at a ceilidh on Skye at the w/e, drinking pints and happily chatting to everyone. That felt really odd  . He refused to have a dance with me though :notalk: .

My little "little boy" is in the wilds of Borneo and I haven't heard a thing since he left :( . No news is good news though  .

It is strange when your children get to an age that you can clearly remember being and what you were doing then :roll:

My first baby will be 18 at the end of September and my youngest baby is now 2 inches taller than me and she is still only 12 :anxious:

It is great to feel pride for a job well done. :D

My little girl is now 13 and bigger than me in every respect, it was brought sharply into focus the other day when a (female) friend commented that she will have a 'figure to make grown men weep' when she's older :? Not sure that I am ready for that - have told her that she's not having any boyfriends until she's 35, and that I will set the dogs on any who try to get frisky with her :D

In my 20s I helped a friend look after her 3 small sons; they are now all in their 20s, fit, athletic and absolutely gorgeous... one has recently married... I remember potty training him!!! It is sooo wrong to be looking at a photo of them and thinking *Hmmmm* when I remember them all curling up on my bed for bedtime stories.

I was at my DS first sports day at his secondary school last Friday. The field was full of young school boys/men, and they all looked quite a bit older than the max 17/18 years they should be. And then I made myself sad by thinking 'I could actually be their mum!' :( Not because I was thinking anything untoward, but because in my mind, I am still their age :cry:

My friend was showing me footage of a swimming gala she helped run.

I commented on how fit a young man was  .

She nearly wet herself laughing.

What I didn,t realise under the swimming hat was her 14 year old son

He is nearly 6 feet has massive shoulders and a 6 pack.

I felt a right old perv.

You and me too - I commented on one of ES mates (15) being a good looking young man and was nearly locked up by eldest son. Strange he doesnt have mates over so much  probably thinks I will flirt. i got told off for saying his geography teacher was dishy and flirting - I was actually making polite conversation - no more parents nights for me and bromide in my tea

A girl can dream can't she  I go more for personality these days and if god forbid anything happened to OH would not bother dating again. Older men do nothing for me. Would sooner be alone than with someone who I didnt fancy. Sorry to sound so anti man - its just the ones who try and chat me up are 70+ and not at all appealing.

Youngest grandchild leaves primary school next week and I'm going to his leavers assembly - I'll be at the back....snivelling

My granddaughter, 13, is now taller than me......and OH......as tall as her Mum (5'9") and set to be taller than her Dad - she was wearing heeled boots last night and spent all evening patting me on the head saying "Oh Grandma......you're so cuuuuute"
