Seagazer
His good weight and breathing unaided are a positive start - I hope he continues to do well. I'll second the positive start and that he continues to do well. Keeping everything crossed.

chickencam
He is still stable with blood oxygen levels above 80% which is good, he is being transferred to Alder Hey hospital this evening. There is a question mark over whether or not he has a genetic disorder which the heart condition is a syptom of, he will have various tests this week and they will know more by the end of the week. His parents think that he looks pretty normal, but the paedeatrician wasn't sure so he will go to the specialists. He is fighting on and that can only be good

Purplemaniacs
Best wishes to you all. It sounds quite positive, a good weight and breathing for himself. He will get the best possible care at Alder Hey, it is best to know if there is an underlying cause such as a syndrome, there are so many and some very rare, that way he will get the best and most comprehensive care. Thinking of you all. Chrissie

chickencam
He is still holding his own and has had a go at feeding today, he is mainly on a drip at the moment. His oxygen levels have stayed at 80-85%, just waiting on the genetic tests now some of which we will know by the end of the week others not until the end of next week. I have seen lots of photos now and he is a cutie.

chickencam
Even better news tonight, he is out of the high dependency special care and in a room of his own. He has started breast feeding and his mum is staying with him tonight to get his feeding established. He met his big brother yesterday and one set of grandparents, he then met his other granny today. He is to be assessed by 3 cardiac specialists tomorrow with a view to discharging him if he continues to thrive with a view to not operating on him until he is much bigger and stronger. We are so happy that he is doing so well, he is not out of the woods yet, but compared to the prognosis that he had pre birth, he is amazing
