I do wonder how much of those outbursts between the judges are staged. I know that they manipulate the public vote by deliberately putting a celeb down to create a backlash in the public vote.

The Wembley experience left me cold I'm afraid. What was wrong with Blackpool?

I agree, Wembley was just too big and Blackpool would have been much better, I even prefer the BBC studio. The dances were disappointing too, but I think that was because of the size of the floor.

Agree. Wembley was far too big, felt I couldn't see what was going on as the cameras were trying to show too much of the dance floor and the poor dancers couldn't dance they had to run everywhere to use the space.

 

I vote it goes back to Blackpool next year. What has Wembley got to do with dancing anyway?

 

Chelsee was good, shame for Jason but thought he recovered well. Feel sorry for all the dancers really.

I thought Wembley was a terrible venue. Just too big for two people dancing in the middle of it all I'm still not sure who I would like to win

Agree about Wembley. They were just lost in the middle. Didn't make good viewing on the TV.

 

Robbie or Anita out I reckon - but I have got it wrong every other week so will probably be someone else!

Also agree about Wembley. The sound was terrible , sounded like they were inside a large aircraft hangar!

 

The cameras were all over the shop, poor direction IMO. Spent too much showing the surroundings and less of the dance.

 

What particularly annoys me is the long frilly dresses (like Alex's) you can't see their feet! The wardrobe staff this year need shooting!

 

I thought overall last night the best dancer was Holly. Her routine, even though wasn't perfect involved some very tricky steps - she is very overlooked in respect of talent I feel.

 

Russell is getting on my wick now. The bottom of the leader board is correct, Russell should go this week followed by Robbie next week. I really hope Anita doesn't go, she will be devastated.

Russel has just stopped trying to dance and spends too much time 'entertaining'. I wish the programme would become more dance focussed again.

I was underwhelmed this week I'm afraid. Wembley did absolutely nothing for me and I agree with others that you just 'lost' the dancers in it, its way too big.

 

Enjoyed Alex (beautiful top to her dress) and Harry this week. Robbie wasn't very good this week and was very flat footed. Didn't enjoy his routine at all,very stop and starty. Also in the firing line - Anita and Russell I think. Russell does the same thing virtually for every dance. I also didn't particularly enjoy Holly's dance, she should have worn a long dress, you probably wouldn't have seen so many problems then but it was lovely to see Artem back.

Agree with everyone's comments about Wembley...it may have been great to be there but I thought it felt very flat as a viewing experience...

 

Didn't like Jason's effort particularly even before he went wrong...but I'm not a fan so perhaps I'm being particularly harsh...

 

Don't much take to Chelsee either but hers was definitely the dance of the night for me...

 

I wish Holly scored better with the judges...I really liked her dance last night too....

 

I agree Russell should go now...but he probably won't.. I didn't particularly like Alex's Tango and thought it was over marked by the judges..but maybe just the too long dress put me off. Anita danced well but I don't think she has the public support so my money is on her to go out tonight...but I'm never usually right so...

 

Still want Harry to win!!

That was the right result tonight. It was a shame to see Holly in the bottom two though, I don't think she deserved to be. I will miss Russell though...

I am glad Russell has gone at last, it would have been a shame to see Holly leave when she has more to offer I was also not a fan of Wembley, it was too big and seemed to have no atmosphere.

Best result tonight, apart from Holly being in bottom 2. Thought Russell was very nice in his farewell speech. Loved Il Divo on the the show.

Right result this week, Russell made his farewell speech yesterday to signal to people that he should now step aside.

 

I did not like Wembley either, it was just too big, much prefer Blackpool, but on the plus side Children in need got the ticket money and the final is in Blackpool

I'm a member of the Strictly Facebook group and I would say 95% of them also hated Wembley so we are not alone!

 

Anyone else watched the US version "Dancing with the stars"? I could not believe that was Ricki Lake (talk show host) dancing with Derek Hough!!! she looks absolutely amazing, just youtube her tango and see. Very high caibre of dancers on there, makes our stars look like rubbish!

Yes, I've watched the last 3 or 4. JR Martinez is amazing too.in fact he won Rikki Lake's tango was thrilling. So was her Samba.

The end of the American show a couple of years ago was really good - down to two Brits and a Spaniard (an F1 driver who had never danced before and won ) I still remember Mel B's Paso though - awesome!

I got a nasty whiff of attempted vote leading thought, the judges definately want rid of Robbie, he was not as bad as his marks, I think it will come down to him and Anita. They didn;t even show him in the swingathon they just got rid of him asap

Harry was fab tonight wasn't he? Robbie really didn't stand out for me, to be honest. Were his marks low? Maybe a wee bit, but I think I would probably have placed him bottom of the leaderboard.

I know that quite a few people have warmed to Robbie during this competition, he seems like someone who is quite vunerable and has been talked down a lot in life, he wasn't a nice footballer, but has taken to dancing and obviously loves to perform, he has blossomed by getting the support that he has had. Unfortunately I think that this might bode badly for either Anita or Holly who just don't have quite the same entertainment value. I do think that Robbie will go either this week or next though.
