The Dogmother
It's all go here Last Saturday evening I was walking the dogs in the park when I spotted a woman in her 30s staggering along in the dark, she looked drunk but it might have been something else. Deciding that she wasn't yer average Banbury madam on a night out, I asked if she needed help getting home (I was worried that she might get mugged) and she didn't. I kept an eye on her as I walked around the park and at one stage she was crawling on her knees I decided to follow her at a distance and called the police as I know they have CCTV in that area and might be able to keep an eye on her. Despite the station being just 500 yards away, they didn't have anyone spare to send out so they stayed on the phone while I followed her home and made sure that she got in safely, luckily she lived not far from the park. *phew* I was worried about her all night as she didn't seem like the usual drunken dross and was in a dreadful state. And yet another one today..... I was just finishing my lunch at home before heading back to work and I heard something smash next door, then the toddler screaming. Didn't think anything of it as I put my coat on to leave, then the neighbour came hammering at the door - her OH is a firefighter and at work (with the car) wee toddler had fallen onto a broken glass and was bleeding profusely from his tiny hand I slapped a dressing on it, told her to keep it elevated and bundled her in my car, called the office to say that I'd be back late. Poor chap was bleeding quite a bit but luckily the A&E is only a 5 min drive away - far quicker than calling an ambulance. .... the bonus is that I was only 10 minutes late back to work Slightly dramatic few days that I'd rather not repeat
Ain't Nobody Here
I think they should call you, and not the AA, the Fifth Emergency Service . Well done . I had a small part in a very minor "rescue" last night - I was waiting for my boys to come in from a handicap race with their running club, and 2 girls (who had been for an unconnected run) had a flat battery but no idea what to do so I and a couple of guys from the club helped to get them on the road again. Not quite in your league though .

Ain't Nobody Here
Definitely . I'd leave the chainsaw at home though, might freak your patients out .
moochoo
Well done! I'm so glad there are people, like you, that are willing to help out in an emergency. Most people would walk by 'cause it's not their problem.

Alis girls
You are amazing - I too often feel the need to involve myself - but to follow someone home to make sure she got in ok was an amazing. Someone up there must be looking out for this young lady to send a guardian angel to look out for her -- well done
Chook n Boo Mum
Have you seen her since Clare? Hopefully upright & normal-like, not in her previous state Coo, there's no way any of us would have left that young mum & her babe I'm sure .........hope he's ok now x
The Dogmother
Thanks Sha, I haven't seen the woman since although I've walked past her house a couple of times hoping to see her. I just hope she's OK. Having been out with a friend a few years back when she had her drinks spiked, I get concerned about that sort of thing. Yup, babe had it mended with superglue and is back to normal thankfully. I don't think that L will get the blood out of her white top though! kazmac
What a good samaritan! In the right place at the right time twice. Two people who are most definitely better off because of you. Well done!
Valkyrie
Yo! Good going Batgirl! Now I wonder if the woman called emergency services to say there was a strange lady who kept following her! Probably wouldn't find the right buttons to dial anyway. Variety is the spice of life so they say!
