Duncan08
Loved watching that, thank you! Our girls love the leaves too, they had a couple of big piles 2 weeks ago and they have virtually all gone and been trodden in ! They make great composters these girls. Trouble is now they have trashed their bale of straw/my seat. I have been taking bits off it to put in the nest box and the strings have loosened off. Friday, they all took it into their heads to demolish the lot and cover the whole of the WIR floor. If it wasn't for the poop it would be so comfy to sleep on. Chortle Chook
What a superb video and a glorious place for chickens to live. I love that big blue girl who stalks past as if she is saying 'children, children'. Where do you get all those leaves from at this time of year? Cheeky Chooky
Awww thank you for the lovely comments I love that big blue girl who stalks past as if she is saying 'children, children'. Where do you get all those leaves from at this time of year? That's Dolly...she's one of the newbies and is just adorable...I always think she sounds like she's saying her name I get the leaves from the Caretaker of the School next door to our offices. They have a wooded area and he's told me there are a few more bags to come yet

Are they quail in the usual sense of quail or another type of chicken. Please excuse me if that sounds a bit dim.
