Ooooh, it's started **She's here!

Recommended Posts

DD has had bachache since yesterday, gradually getting worse and has had a show late this afternoon. Delivery suite have told her to take two paracetamol and have a bath now. I'm shattered and am ready for my bed but am on standby to take her and her partner up to the hopsital. Feeling  about it all. Sure this is worse than when it was me going into labour - lol

Any news??

Hope it all goes well & doesn't take too long. Good luck to you all :D

Nooooooooooooooo. She's currently at a Christening do. She's also getting pains at the front now but her friend has told her she can't possibly be in labour yet as hers was agony all the time  This friend got told to shut up by the midwifes as she was scaring all the others in the unsoundproofed delivery suites -lols

DD seems to be coping OK so far but just hope this doesn't go on for days. Not sure I can cope -lols. DH seems completely unfazed and also thinks she's not in early labour. Like to see him cope with the pain

Thanks for the good luck wishes :)

Thanks again everyone :)

No update apart from the back pain increasing so she rang delivery suite and she's had a bath and took paracetamol. Not heard from her in a couple of hours so it must have worked. I've told her to move around, hot water and gentle cat stretches as well if she can manage those as I know they helped me. I had back labour pains as well but don't remember them being so bad but then we do block the pain out don't we afterwards lol

With my second one, I thought it felt as if I had had just used the loo in the maternity suite, and instead a baby came out!!!!! He was only 4lb though bless his little cotton socks. Good luck! I stuffed myself with loads of arnica pillules with both of my children before, during and after the birth to help me and no bruising and I felt fab with no stretch marks either.

I just wanted to add my good luck to you and your DD - it must be hard for you knowing with the waiting and also knowing what she is going through.

I can say for sure that walking about does speed things up. I was trying to pack my hospital bag whilst in increasing bouts of labour pain and resulted in his arrival 45 mins after I arrived in hospital  Hope it all goes well

I am presuming that no news is good news, something must be happening, fingers crossed here.

I was lucky with my three, they all came along pretty quickly, but I did have a lot of pains over the course of a couple of weeks with DS. I swore by staying upright and drinking rasberry leaf tea for a couple of weeks before each one.

So exciting, I am not sure how I will cope when my daughters have babies. :anxious:

We are Grandparents :D Lauren Jane weighing 7lb 4oz arrived at 3.55pm and she's gorgeous :D She's also got loads of black har. My two were both baldies-lol

Eleanor and Lauren are both fine :)

Was going to do a partial update this morning but that went out of the window I'm afraid. Got a call at 2.00am this morning from DD so took her up. She was already 4cm when she was checked. I stayed until 8.30am then went straight to work but they let me finish at 1.00pm so I whizzed back up. She had gas and air, pethadine and when I got back she was on the new one that begins with r. 45 minutes total from first push which the mdwife said was excellent for her first. DD says she's not having any more as it ####### hurt-lol

I'm shattered and I'm sure it's been more exhausting than giving birth myself.

Will post a piccy as soon as I get one loaded onto the pc.
