It's quite nice here today in fact a good do garden jobs day, just typical I've picked up everyone's cold bug and feeling like death warmed up I can hear my neighbours working in the garden so rather envious

A nasty wet morning, followed by a beautiful afternoon

The daffodils are almost ready to flower in the lane and the trees are full of chattering starlings. Lovely!

 

Weatherman warned of possibility of snow on Monday though

Its been a lovely day here had a shower of rain late afternoon which produced a beautiful rainbow, its not felt as cold either. I have heard the rumour of more snow on Monday but not paid too much attention as to where, however as I have now arranged for logs to be delivered on Monday and Woodchip on Tuesday im hoping it wont be our area but that famous old law of the s d means we will get it

Drove over to Broadway, and went up to visit the tower, only to find it thick with fog and snowing Didn't last long, thankfully!

I love Broadway, not too far from us.

 

Nothing really here today; a bit of cold drizzle at lunchtime but it's been mostly dry and very cold. Clear out there now.

Snowing now in Brum Very wet and melting on the roads and paths but settling on cars and foliage. We are forecast 'disruptive' weather for tomorrow

We have a big archery tournament all weekend that the archery club organise with archers coming from all over the country. White stuff may make it interesting we are forecast it for tomorrow. It is indoors but the travelling could be tricky!

 

I had hoped we had had enough for this winter but that doesn't seem to be the case

I drove out to a village 3 miles from town and a bit higher (to see to a poorly chook) and they had snow settled on cars, some on the ground and it was snowing quite hard. Soon stopped but it has been cold and damp all day.

Sunny and cold for the past couple of days but wet and nasty today

It was so cold yesterday, couldn't get warm at all, today is slightly better only by a degree or so, but it is wet and sleety, totally horrible outside at the moment.

I am actually quite fed up with winter now and wrapping myself up in woolies and blankets to keep warm while struggling to keep the heating at a temp i can afford to pay the bill on. I want some sunshiney warmth right now, this dreary weather has gone on and on ...since July in fact and i don't want it any more .

So i think i should offer it up for sale on ebay.

Been down at my folks for a couple of day, looking after my mother while Pops takes a break. Drove down with snow all around us, they actually had more than we did, then woke up on Thursday morning to find it had all gone.

 

Lovely and sunny today, got back mid-afternoon and spent that golden hour of light walking the dogs.

Bright and sunny in south Oxfordshire; a nice break from gloomy skies and rain! Even contemplated putting the washing out but couldn't find the line prop

 

Still loads of water lying about in the surrounding fields tho, its going to take a long time to drain properly .

Lovely yesterday afternoon and again today, we got outside cleaned out both sets of chickens and cut down a huge lavatera (sp) with a view to moving the Eglu and run over the weekend.

I'm hoping for clement weather over the weekend so that I can give the housing a darned good jetwashing.

If we got the jet washer out at the moment I think that not just the chicken housing but our house too would wash down the hill

Lovely here at the moment, clear blue skies and a good frost, nice crisp air and the thermometer reads freezing

Fab day here we have got loads done outide, the younger ladies have a new home, their old one was very waterlogged and smelly. Now just got to work out what we can plant on ground that has had chickens on it for over 5 years and loads of bark clippings so probably wierd PH and rather rich.

It was a bit cloudy during the early afternoon but later on it was sublime.

 

So much milder and cheerful out there... shouldn't tempt fate but it feels like Spring is just around the corner!

Saw my first daffodil blooming today too
