mollyripkim Posted November 22, 2012 Share Posted November 22, 2012 Am posting as I know you will sympathise and understand with how I feel, I can't stop crying, can't describe how I feel. My gorgeous Ripple who was 12 and a half died this morning. We found her laid on the grass at 8 o'clock as if she had just keeled over in a walking position, she hadn't long gone as she was still warm, she must have gone out for her morning ablutions and maybe had a massive heart attack. She was perfectly fine yesterday and meowed for her normal bedtime treat of dreamies so at least she didn't suffer a long illness and went quickly. The odd thing is I had a premonition a couple of weeks ago, something made me go and get my camera and take these two pictures of her. RIP my lovely Ripple, you will be so missed. I am so sorry, you are quite right though to take solace in the fact that he did not have to suffer a long illness and it is also a blessing that you found him. My eldest daughter took it hardest as Ripple was her childhood pet. Silly I know but I can't bring myself to lock the cat flap or move her things. Seagazer Posted November 26, 2012 Share Posted November 26, 2012 I've only just got rid of my original dog's bowl, it was chipped and should have been thrown away when my old dog Sally died - and that was nearly 6 years ago. There's no rush, do it when you feel ready. I always leave my departed pets things around until I feel ready to let go. We've still got Sally's collar.
