The Dogmother
Goodness, hope they were wearing studded trainers. I'm trying to get back into it after a bit of a lapse; less walking in the evenings now the daylight hours have gone, but I keep active at work and had a blinding circuits session last might - shame that my knees are playing up this morning though
Dizzi1978
Thanks for the welcome. Crikey! That picture makes your OH look like a very brave person!
Ain't Nobody Here
He's used to it, he's been in worse than that! It was my first proper hill race so I reckon I was the brave one .
ali-s
Well done on your run ANH. You are very brave to be out in the snow. Too cold/ rainy/ windy/snowy to do much cycling this week. Cycled to and from work on Monday but it was flipping freezing. My face felt quite sore from the wind. Had the Curves induction and had various parts of my body measured. I will be measured again in a month. I have done 4 sessions and I am quite enjoying them. The half an hour session flies by.
Ain't Nobody Here
That'll be interesting. I took measurements when I started the 5:2 and they definitely got smaller! It's a struggle to keep it that way though . Managed my 2nd cross country race today - managed not to be last . Lovely route in Peebles along a riverbank, through fields/woods and along a disused railway and viaduct .
ali-s
Well done again ANH on your race. No exercise at all last week. Off work for 3 days with throat, ear and chest infections which I had ignored for 3 weeks. Too dark to cycle to work in the mornings. I am looking forward to the lighter mornings returning. Back to Curves today. I think I have another week before I get measured .I know I haven't worked very well there and don't think I will have lost any inches due to feeling quite poorly for the last few weeks. Space Chick
Well I'm guessing I must have been a good girl this year, as Santa has brought my present early I am doing more travelling with work, and this will allow a train/bike commute Excuse the slippers in the video
Lavenders_Blue
What a great present! I find it amazing how tiny the folding bikes are when they are folded up. I was on a ridiculously packed train a couple of weeks ago, and someone had got on with a full sized bike. It took up so much room and was a total nuisance! Ain't Nobody Here
Congratulations . My half-brother proudly demonstrated during dinner once how easy his Brompton was to put up and down .
ali-s
Lucky you I would be very happy with that bike as my Christmas present.
ali-s
I joined in on this thread on 11th January 2013 and now 2013 is nearly over I have really enjoyed getting fitter this year and hope to carry on in 2014 with cycling, spinning, Wii Fit and Curves and maybe something new. I never did get round to running or circuits so maybe those. The last couple of weeks exercising has slowed down with Christmas but I have done a few sessions at Curves. Not been feeling on top form since the beginning November, blood tests on Monday morning. Doc seems to think I have had/got glandular fever
Ain't Nobody Here
You've certainly been a fit Omleteer this past year . Sorry you've been poorly though, hope you are back up to full strength soon. I've just had a horrible head cold which has put paid to any running . Hope to motivate myself back into it once the cough has gone.
Purplemaniacs
I am afraid I failed in 2013. Will there be a 2014 thread? If so I will try to do better Chrissie
Chicken Licken
I have finished the year with a 10K run today and am feeling a sense of achievement having managed 2 half marathons over the course of the year.
chickencam
Well done I managed to lose nearly a stone in weight and I am maybe a tad fitter, fitness will be my goal this year. I don't want to step on the scales for a few weeks though, we have way too much chocolate in the house for that and still loads of Christmas cake left.
