Breathe and breathe!!!! Ohhhhmmmmm! Poxy snags are what makes moving fun (not). It will be OK in the end. :pray:

 

Son set to move into his rented place the week before only to find the landlady hadn't signed her part of the agreement and sold the house instead. Then this week the same estate agents said they could have first refusal on a new home up for rent. They saw, they liked, they paid. House on sale at the same time and offer was accepted for the purchase. This is so nasty. Girls refunded, boy hasn't because they messed up his details. He should get his money today.

Just wondering why this thread has been stuck on the self sufficient life thread. Unless you are going to eat the knotweed or harvest it for basket making I can't see how moving house and getting a mortgage with a knotweed problem comes under this title? :eh:

Sorry. That's the only appropriate response!

 

After much jumping up and down by the people at the top of the chain (it's a chain of 4 altogether with us at one end) threatening to pull out if something didn't happen by 5 today, I moved heaven and earth and at quarter to five our solicitor was talking to the others to complete the exchange, but he couldn't complete it because the people who've been shouting couldn't be contacted :shock::roll:

 

On the bright side though there's nothing holding it up now so it will happen on Monday. At last!
