Last chemotherapy session was done on Wednesday and so far I don’t feel too bad. Such a good feeling to know that part is done! I got to ring the bell and even got a certificate, loads of staff and patients cheered and wished me well

My Herceptin injections start on the 16th February, could still be a few unpleasant side effects from those but apparently they lessen after the first couple which is good be because I have 18 of those to have every 3 weeks for the next year! Radiotherapy starts on 26th February for 4 weeks. Hopefully we can sneak a few days away before radiotherapy starts think we’ve earned some down time and enjoyment!

Treated ourselves to a new large lounge rug and spring cleaned the lounge before fitting it. I’m sure I feel better this cycle because I know that stage is done.

I would have been ringing that bell quite a bit Thats fantastic that bits over and I am sure the rest of the treatment will be over before you know it. Enjoy your break, you all deffo deserve it. Do you do the Herceptin yourself or do you go in to have a nurse do it?

I have to go every 3 weeks still the the oncology centre but it’s an injection into my thigh which takes about 5 minutes. Still a few side effects possible but hopefully nothing on the scale of chemo!
