No more annoying 'Dad's found ya scuuuta' woman!

Recommended Posts

I was pleased to hear today that the annoying Picture loan advert with the Geordie irratant woman has been banned by the Advertising Standards Agency :D:D:D:D

Apperantly for suggested people borrow £25k on a willy nilly everyday kind of basis.

I would have banned it just for it's annoyance factor.

Well done the ASA and the six who complained! :D

Kev.

Those adverts drive me nuts. A personal bugbear was the one where people would get a "consildation" loan and still have money left over to buy more stuff. At the end of the advert the bloke was mowing a postage stamp lawn on a ride on mower!

Oh thank goodness! That advert drives me scatty! It's not the only advert though........ . Talking of adverts, have you seen the latest Sony Bravia one with the rabbits? Now that's an advert I could watch all day every day without it grating on my nerves! It's even got the Rolling Stones as a soundtrack! What more could you want  .

Quite delightful -

Oh yeah, I remember that one... kept thinking he'd have to buy a second house just to fit his lawn mower in... that was a very irritating ad, and I am not the kind of person who gets easily irritated!!

OOOOh... just looked at the bunny one... that is cute... I want bunnies like that... they even kind of match the rablu colours!!!

The bloke who made the rabbit advert also made:

The Cadbury Gorilla

The Bouncing Balls Advert, and

The one with the explosions of colour over the tower block.

8)

And they were all real too, no CGI.

Well it wasn't a real Gorilla obviously, but you know what I mean

The bunnies are great :P

 I think I'm turning into my grandmother here never mind my mother.

I think the ad for the loan, where she is having a conversation with the loan company, and also with the rude child that keeps interupting her when theoretically she is discussing something rather important, it just gives the wrong message, that it's a good idea to interupt adults

Sorry to sound so Victorian

cant stand scuuuta woman. or her male alternative, who discusses football with loan arranger.

That's the bloke I was meaning. Smug twit! The way he mouths "twenty five?" in an enquiring way to his OH. As if anyone doing something as momentous as taking out a £25K loan would not be absolutely sure of all their figures before making the phone call.

Whoever complained was right to do so, they make going into massive debt seem an everyday occurrence, like hanging washing out, and even suggest that taking a massive loan will solve all your problems! :?
