Blackrocksrock
No you must still rest or you risk getting post viral syndrome if you do too much at the beginning.

riane
Poor you snowy...OH and youngest had this horrible bug last week and it knocked them out for 3 days. Both had terrible throats and red blotchy hot dry skin. Charlotte then started with earache so I took her to the doctor. She had an ear infection but he said the spots and throat were a virus.Hope you begin to feel a little bit stronger soon but don't try to do too much too soon. MedusA
I hope you're still on the mend Snowy. Take it easy and get plenty of rest. My daughter is feeling rough this morning, and she's got to go to Bristol tomorrow to sit an entrance exam for University. Eek!

Snowy
No Feel absolutely lousy Still covered in spots, spiking a temp and feel like I'm swallowing razor blades. Got a doctors appointment in an hour, I think I need antib's for the throat. OH has now finished work for a couple of days so can relax a bit more. Poor 16 year old has started with a sore throat now though - really praying it does not affect him badly - he has his college interview on Wednesday! Have spent the last hour ringing round people to cancel all my groups and meetings this week and rearrange work.

Snowy
Oh no Cat, that's awful, poor little mite Fortunately both my little boys seem to have recovered well from the lergy. GP thinks it is all viral so no antibiotics I was so hoping I needed them - then I could see it coming to an end! Now I just have to sit it out Trouble is if I have to cancel work, I don't get paid Oh well, they say it never rains but it pours ... Gotta keep laughing haven't you? chickencam
Hope you feel better soon, at least you can have some company on here without worrying about spreading your lergy. I have had tonsilitis quite a few times in my life and you feel like death it is so much more than a sore throat, you have my sympathy (((hugs)))
Snowy
My biggest problem has been eating and drinking - it is so painful and tea, milk or orange juice just seems to make the pain worse. And the water in Leicester tastes disgusting when you HAVE to drink it Eating anything is painful and then gives me indigestion and stomach ache. Just solved both problems - homemade chicken and sweetcorn soup! Real comfort food, I feel so much better for that!
Tiggy
Stay in bed Snowy, and definately get the doctor to come and see you on Monday. If you are feeling this bad, sitting in a waiting room isn't going to help i'm sorry to hear that you've been poorly & am glad that you are feeling a bit better, because you GP is unlikely visit you unless you had serious symptoms, keep taking it easy until you are properly better
The Dogmother
Oh you poor thing Snowy (sorry, only just caught up on this) It's been going round here at work too - I've managed to escape it so far *touches wood quickly*, they have been very poorly and it sounds just like what you've got. I used to be really prone to strep throat and found Chloroseptic throat spray a real help, but you probably already know that. Take care Hon and keep snuggled up. chickencam
The last time I had tonsilitis I couldn't eat or drink either and I was really hungry which was very frustrating. Hope things are improving with the chicken soup
