update on dad- up and down

Recommended Posts

I'm so sorry hun. You really are going through an absolutely horrendous time. I'm sure that once your Dad has seen the GP next week and he has explained it to him, he will change his mind about it. Mine was similar over treatment a while ago, but the GP managed to convince him.

Is it worth you talking to the GP befrore he sees your Dad? I know they are bound by patient confidentiality but in my experience that although they can't necessarily discuss specifics they will talk to you if you have concerns.

Keeping everything crossed for you.

Love & Big Hugs

right, mum's just phoned, the GP has told dad that he MUST have the op and not having it is NOT an alternative (thank god! )

so, it's scheduled for the 4th april.

When he's up and about again, we're taking them for a run out in the camper van. It will be much more comfy for dad than travelling by car.

Mum wants a run out to Boundary Mill stores so we've said we'll do that when dad's better.

Next big hurdle is the op. Will stay positive and try to keep dad's sprits up til then.

I'm glad he has been persuaded to have the operation ....Sending a huge Hug as I know how worried and scared you must all be. I'm sure the doctors must think that they can help him by operating as I shouldn't think they would suggest putting him through the surgery if they didnt think there would be a successful outcome

That's really good news hun. Thank goodness the GP was strict with him. Hopefully that has eased the worry a little bit for you. I know you are going to be thinking about about the op, but this is definitely a positive start.

Lots of love

Ian's gone to work but he's still not too well but better than he was, thanks. I'm not feeling ill, just tense and worried. I'm just waiting to make sure I don't catch it before I go to see my dad. I don't want to pass it on to him when his operation is just round the corner. I don't think i will get it as i had a flu jab but just making sure.
