Snow!!!

Recommended Posts

I'm with you Snowy. As much as the snow is pretty we're in spring so I'm expexting lovely sunny days. Where have they gone :?

It's snowing quite heavily here but not settling on the paths yet. It started about an hour and a half ago and everywhere is covered except the chickens which with their lovely new run are looking quite cosy :D

S"Ooops, word censored!"ped off the snow from the greenhouse at 7.30 this morning as my girls couldn't see out of there new run

Kids are supposed to be doing there paper rounds but last time I looked out of the window they were trying to build a snow man before the other kids got out there. I think the papers are going to be late this morning for a few people

We had an unexpected snow fall last night - about 2.5 inches.

I was up all night with tummy ache & dropped off at 5am, when it wasn't snowing - when I woke again at 7.30,there is all was 8)

Its a lovely suprise & everything looks beautiful, but the cat is simply astounded by it as he has never seen settled snow before

We haven't had snow for years - I mean proper snowman/snowball fighting snow! Even then only about an inch and we have made the most liddle snowmen! We had an almighty crash of thunder at 7 this morning and OH said within half an hour we had 4 inches of it! First I fed the wild birds and then I thought that this is what I would be doing when the girls come (hopefully it won't snow by then). Actually it has apparently snowed in June here about 4 hundred years ago at the battle at Old Basing - Civil War times - apparently so bad weather at that time. But YAY - I'm off to make a snow angel!

:D:D:D

LSH's golf match was cancelled due to snow on the greens but we've had nothing at all here a 5 or so miles up the road! Brilliant sunshine, in fact and it's 30+ degrees in the conservatory!! A gorgeous day with blue skies so poor old Hubby is out laying the paths in the garden to stop me nagging  .

Wow Jules, that is an amazing pic! The light is wonderful! :D

We've had a gorgeous day today, but at one point I thought it was snowing again as a flurry of white went past the window. Turns out we have starlings nesting under the eaves and they were turfing out our cavity wall insulation  The patio is covered in polystyrene beads :x
