AJuff
Ok here goes . . . . I weighed myself this morning and I am 10st 10 3/4lbs!!! That's 10 3/4lbs over my absolute top maximum personal weight limit. Waist measured in at 33" and hips at 41". Officially the largest and heaviest I've ever been. I have had a healthy breakfast, lots of water, a healthy lunch, lots of fruit and vegetables and feel fine . . . so far. I went and did a big shop at Waitrose and bought everything healthy and despite pleas from DS stayed resolute. I intend to be very sensible and just stop the blatant pigging out but otherwise just eat a balanced three meals a day. I will try to fit in a bit of excercise and stay positive. It's very lovely to know that I have 24hr online support and encouragement!!! Thanks all.
Blackrocksrock
I would be happy if I was your weight - you dont have much to lose compared with some of us! - hope you can manage - drinking loads of water all day does work well though.
Olly
you dont have much to lose compared with some of us! I was thinking that, I'd love to be 10 stone anything again ... but it does rather depend on AJ's height!

I was thinking that, I'd love to be 10 stone anything again ... but it does rather depend on AJ's height! Thats true and I am 5 feet 4 or used to be maybe half an inch or so shorter - thats why I look fatter!!
Chickvic
I am 5ft 10 and I am supposed to weight about 11 stone! I think I would look seriously ill - I haven't weighed myself yet as I'm putting it off...

Jules.
Go AJuff & everyone else I have lost 22lb in the last 12 weeks, & I feel so much fitter & healthier in ages. It helps me to visualise the weight loss if I imagine myself carrying around 22lb in shopping everday & I go I have about another 6lb to lose before 29th August when I go on my cruise It feel fab to be able to fit into size 10 clothes again. I'm 5 feet nothing tall, & so the excess weight really showed
AJuff
Well done Jules, you are an inspiration to us all. Here starts my biggest downfall. . . . nibbling after dinner into the evening. I'm going to keep myself busy and just get used to it.

Helly Welly
Cashew nuts are gorgeous but i have to be careful as any nuts set off my IBS. Tesco sell big bags of mixed nuts and fruit which include pecans and cashews. They are in the Asian aisle and are about 1kg. They are produced by Fudco. My stomach has got a lot flatter lately and i'm not entirely sure why. I eat fairly healthily but i do treat myself. It must just be the gym, i actually want to go now instead of having to force myself to go. I get narked if i can't go for a few days.
Chickvic
I struggle mostly when my DH is on nights, the kids have gone to bed and I tend to comfort eat then
quinlan
Just an idea for anyone who is putting off exercise as they find it boring... Check out British Military Fitness (sound scary I know but everyone is really friendly) All outdoors and such good fun (and a good social side of it too is that they go to the pub after some sessions!!) Just an idea! Just had a look - does look quite good. Now, am I brave enough... Go for it... you've got nothing to lose (a few pounds maybe!!) and the rush of endorphins you get after the class is awesome!!!

Ain't Nobody Here
A tip I read once was to brush your teeth right after your evening meal. You somehow feel less inclined to eat something if your teeth are just brushed. That's the theory anyway . I tried on trousers & tops in M&S today and fitted a size 14 for the first time in years . I only bought one pair of jeans but the feeling of being a size smaller was even better than getting new clothes .
redhotchick
Has anyone tried a pedometer as a way of getting motivated to exercise? It's quite addictive! I must find mine and dust it off....

Gem_Seb
Im the same with the gym now! I love going to listen to the music and feel a sense of achievement when i come out! arent nuts high in fat though? i know its healthy fats but im guessing you still cant eat lots of them?! My downfall is when i get home from work waiting for the tea to cook! i snack on rubbish as im starving when i get in but i guess that means im not eating enough during the day?! i eat fruit as snacks all day and have a sandwich with brown bread for lunch, oh and a small bowl of special K for breakfast with minimal milk! craftyhunnypie
I'm doing well 9 and a half pound in 3 weeks - maintained this week, but it was star week. Plus I have been having big losses. I want my stone at least, before the end of the month. I won a recipe book at class last night. Emma.x
