Soggy run

This article is quite well written - I imagine that the phones at Omlet will be red hot today. The author hasn't got the distinction between an eglu and a cube; she talks of the eglu coming in two sizes. But other than that ...

[lisa33]

So much better than the Times mess.

[Ain't Nobody Here]

What a good article . That's what you need, a journo who actually owns an eglu rather than one who doesn't know an eglu from an igloo .

I wonder if she wears those pristine white trousers for the Saturday morning clean out .

[Snowy]

What a great article!

[redfrock]

much better

[moochoo]

Fantastic article. Full of enthusiasm and good grammar!

[Cinnamon]

I thought it was lovely too. She obviously enjoys the changes to her life that the hens bave brought & it shows in her writing

She got all the points about the Eglu across too, although she says it was featured on Big Brother, but I seem to remember them having a wooden coop

[little chickadee]

Great article - maybe we'll see her on the forum !

[Christian]

Nice reading wasn't it? Much more balanced than the other article

[Gallina]

Omlet themselves call the Cube an Eglu: see their main page in the shop:

http://www.omlet.co.uk/shop/shop.php

And their van shows a Cube called an Eglu

So the reporter isn't wrong: the Eglu does come in two types now.

[Aunty e]

Big Brother did have eglus in on season, I remember them well

[Egluntyne]

Good article.

It's a shame the word smug was used though.

[Rhapsody]

TBH, that article was so sweet and syrupy it gave me Diabetes; that is the kind of loathsome Yummy Mummy I left South London to get away from. Yurk.

[The Dogmother]

Made me feel a bit sick too Rhapsody.

[lisaroo2]

i must admit having read it I found it abit too sweet for me as well. I' read it with a smile on my face and let out a loud 'yuk' sound when I'd finished reading it!

If it promotes keeping hens, that's great. I didn't like the fact that she wanted to give us a collective name either, we've got one, 'The Omleteers!'

[Tina C]

Well I don't know about you lot but I always put my high heels on when I visit my chickens.

(Apart from that it was fine I thought)

[Olly]

A very good article, accurate (for once!) and she obviously loves her chooks.

Must admit I hadn't realised eggs were so eggspensive - haven't bought any for over a year! (smug).

[Gallina]

Eggs have gone up an awful lot recently -- and when you buy your next sack of pellets, you will see why. Pellets have literally doubled in price since I started buying them.

The article gushed a bit, but aren't we all a bit smug with our mite-free easy-to-clean hen houses?

[AMO]

Well I don't know about you lot but I always put my high heels on when I visit my chickens.

(Apart from that it was fine I thought)

And white trouseres with a smear of chicken poo is so in

[Cinnamon]

I wonder if she had pink Crocs on?

[redfrock]

but have you seen some of the comments on there? Yet again it has become a case of 'if you haven't got anything nice to say...'

[Ain't Nobody Here]

Ooh, * rushes off to read comments *

[Guest]

I too found it a bit sickly but I thought it was a good article - perhaps sickly fits with that section of the mail.

Nice how she talked about building the area for it and how the eglu picture showed it so nicely.

[Guest]

did she really have to show off her decolletage quite so much!

I'm not a prude but really, but leaning over the counter top like that, bit much really. Who was looking at the eggs?

[Basset]

I really enjoyed reading the article, thanks for posting the link.
