Egluntyne
How wonderful. Reading that has made my day. 2 of my brothers are twins, and it is hard to imagine two more different people, both in looks and temperament. You might need a foster mother for your hens for the short term. If you can get them to Sheffield.................

When my friend had her twins a group of us set up rotas to take the older children to nursery for her each day so that she had some quiet time with the babies. We also provided a 'meals on wheels' service for her for the first two weeks - every day one of us turned up on her doorstep with a meal for the family Round up your friends and family - I'm sure they will be glad to help and it will give you chance to get into a routine

My friends offered to be on a rota to come round and look after my children if I had a precipitate labour this time round! Luckily my cousin's coming to stay with us for the period around the due date so I won't be on my own with the littlies.

The Dogmother
There's always someone who will help - my neighbour is due at the end of July and they don't have any friends or family around here so I've said to let me know if I can help at all. Reminds me of the time I went round to help a pregnant friend out with her littlies and found her giving birth in the hall!!!
