dancing cloud
Dancing Cloud comes from a story my dad told me when I was very little (heard the jokes about pet dinosaurs and bbq'ing mammoth, thank you ) and the image stuck. I use a very boring username for everything else related to my name (Sian, by the way) and wanted something more interesting for my new "owned by ex-batts as well as cats" persona. My avatar is fat Puddy (soon to be thin Puddy if we stick to the diet) having a Vogue moment - isn't she gorgeous

My avatar is fat Puddy (soon to be thin Puddy if we stick to the diet) having a Vogue moment - isn't she gorgeous She is very gorgeous - you're right. On another forum someone had Stargazer which I thought was nice - I like looking at the stars but I really like watching the sea. I don't particularly like going in it..... I used Cookie on my avatar as she looks like she is looking out to sea (albeit a very brown Dymchurch sea) Seagazer!

Egluntyne
We call our chooks our "little Chickadees" I think it was from a book or something! Wasn't it WC Fields catchphrase? Before my time I hasten to add.

Ana's flock
My forum name is pretty self explanatory... The picture is myself and my lovely boy Kingsley when he was just a young chick. I couldn't have him on my shoulder like that now: he's huge! I'm waiting until I can afford a new copy of Photoshop so that I can reduce some of my paintings - I've got two with chickens, so that I can put them on my avatar. I love the stories behind the names - and the song too - I remember it from seeing some very funny cartoon with it on - it was a long time ago, and I think it could have been in Spain. It was something like one of those old KitKat ads, where the chickens were behaving like chickens and the moment Farmer Brown turned his back they were partying, playing music, dancing... very sweet! Lesley
We call our chooks our "little Chickadees" I think it was from a book or something! Wasn't it WC Fields catchphrase? Before my time I hasten to add. Wasn't it one of the Marx brothers? - and it's before my time as well
moochoo
My forum name came from my friends little boy who commented on my brown eyes and long eyelashes saying " you have eyes like a moochoo" it stuck from there on. My avatar is fairly obvious we are being hypnotised to become obsessed with chooks! Aren't we? That's my excuse anyway!
Gamebird
We call our chooks our "little Chickadees" I think it was from a book or something! Wasn't it WC Fields catchphrase? Before my time I hasten to add. Wasn't it one of the Marx brothers? - and it's before my time as well No, definitely W C Fields. The catchphrase taken from the film of the same title in 1940 (way, way before my time) which also starred Mae West. They don't make 'em like that anymore. BeckyBoo
My OH's nickname is Bertie - that story is that he's always doing something for someone else, does charity stuff etc, so he became known as Bisley's favourite asset. Then it was Bertie Bassett, Britains favourite asset (from liquorice allsorts) then it was shortened to Bertie. As I'm married to him, I'm Mrs Bertie!! The avatar is me dawg, Delilah, also known as Lila Loolah, (don't ask why just one of those daft things you shout at your dog across the fields!) Guest
My forum name comes from my childhood, when my obsession with chickens first started, and my dad would promise me 'chookiehens' every year for my birthday (which never materialised!) As for my avatar, I used to have a 'bless this chick' avatar, and had Tigger the amazing parping one-eyed cat for a while, but found the Mona Lisa with chicken one day to post in a long-forgotten thread about the t-towel to celebrate 1000 members (whatever happened to that t-towel?!?), and I kinda liked it, so kept it. I did consider moving my old David Seaman picture that I had in my signature up to avatar, but it just didn;t look right up there.
missuscluck
Wow, what a long thread. My son told me I should be missuscluck. I was lacking in insparation so asked him to think of something. I guess I never intended to stick around long , so at the time it didnt seem very important what I was called to be honest. There is a mscluck on the forum too. She is the younger, more attractive unmarried version of me!! I had a nice avatar which I was happy with, but someone else started to use it so I am currently using a picture of a watercolour I painted at college when I did a watercolour course so I have something no one else will use. Its interesting reading where everyones names/avatars have come from.
