Garden makeover price

Recommended Posts

This is so unusual for us I thought I'd share it with all of you peeps: OH entered a competition recently and we've won a garden redesign and makeover! Not that it needed a make over... :liar::liar::liar:

Soooo, we can now have the chicken damage sorted. Most of the price money is allocated to the garden consultant, David Domeney (sorry but I don't know him...). Mind you I only know Alan Titchmarch and Dermuid Whatshisname (the cute Irish guy). Anyway, there will hopefully be some money left and if there's enough and I have a say on it... I am still debating whether it'll be a (cube pink) or a (cube purple) to go nicely with my (purple eglu) ... decisions decisions...

I just hope they're not going to turn my lovely 'witchy cottage garden' into some pebbles and grass and concrete constructions monstruosity. :shameonu:

Still I'm very grateful we won the price and looking forward to the improvements. :)

wow!

What a fantastic prize, I am :mrgreen::wink:

Noramlly people have gardens designed to be as child-friendly as possible (if they have children!)- I bet your garden will be the first to be designed to be chicken-friendly :lol:

You must plan the garden around the position of the cube 8)

I've just heard from the peeps running the competition and they asked me if there's anything in particular I'd like in the garden... :lol:(cube pink) or (cube purple) or should it be (cube pink) or perhaps (cube purple) ... (cube pink) ? (cube purple)?

:lol: I'm sure they thought I was a tad loopy :oops:

Thay are sending someone over to meet us either end of this week or next but it doesn't seem like the garden is going to 'happen' this side of winter unless we get a spell of good weather around October/November... still exciting though!

Ah! and I'm thinking of a wee vegetable garden (well it'll have to be tiny, it isn't a huge garden!), and it'll have to be chicken-proofed. They should see what they did to my lawn and beds when the feathered vandals had total freedom... :cry:

OOh I've only just noticed this. It's so fantastic that they are letting you give input and asking what you would particularly like! I always thought I would hate "changing rooms" to get their hands on my house - but this sounds much more civilised!

I would definately advise lovely raised beds and get them to incorporate stylish chicken proofing :lol:

Good luck with the makeover
