BERTIE MCSQUIRTY
my brother (age 42) has had a heart attack and is in hospital in yorkshire - all alone with no-one to visit. he might be discharged tonight. he rang me last night all tearful - he has learning difficulties but always has kept himself reasonable fit, but moved up there a few months ago for work. so depending what the hospital say - i might have to go up there over the weekend and fetch him home. meanwhile - mum has tripped over in spain and hurt her leg (knee, ankle and hip) - she's with my step dad (76) so my sister is having to go off to spain to help her back when she is discharged and deemed fit to fly. - she's annoyed because it happened on the 2nd day of her 2 week holiday and has been in spain for 1 week now. Mrs Frugal
Oh no, MrsB. What horrible news for you on both counts. I hope your Mum and brother are soon well again and that your brother doesn't have to stay in hospital for long, bless him. They can be scary, lonely places especially if there are no family members nearby but I'm sure the staff will look after him and make sure he's OK to go home when they think he's ready. Good luck with them both.
