Louise
Hi Guys, Just to let you know I will not be around much longer as my work has started to increase their network filtering and some sites (shopping etc) will only be available at lunchtime but some sites (social networking and discussion forums) that are not deemed to be work related are completely banned Along with a whole raft of others Obviously it will take a while to put all of this in place but we were told its happening this week so I will only be here if I am visiting my parents

We have a fliter at work so we (and the children can't see Utube etc) but Omlet works... fingers crossed it will slip through your work's net too! Geoid
There are ways of getting round these restrictions. One way is to use a Proxy server. Do a quick google for free proxy. The all you do is type in the address you want to vist on the proxy site and the site will open . It works by using someone elses internet connection (perfectly legal). Couperwife
the proxy server may be legal fred, but it causes all sorts of problems for the company networks and leaves them very vulnerable. we had a lovely child in school set up a proxy server and told many people about it, we managed to catch the virus - but only just
