A chickychickychick-ENN!!
...my OH is on a DIY bender to get our house cosy for winter. I am LOVING reading these 'happy' posts. I am especially 'oooh' about Olly and craftyhunnypie's posts. Tremendously exciting, the pair of you! This post rocks. Could we do this every Friday, maybe? Olly
I'm happy because the woodburner is IN! (Will be posting separately about this.) I've had the day off, so I was able to let the girls out for some sunshine and clean the Cube. And now I'm off to bed with the cat and a Georgette Heyer ... that's about as good as it gets! rusky123
I'm happy cos my 5 year old grandaughter was SO proud of her 7 year old sister because she could burp to order, then she announced she could bum-burp to order! WTG Ruby.
AnnieP
Did her granny teach her? I am happy because I am off to visit Mel(andPaul). Guess what? Its raining!
BeckyBoo
I'm still happy because I'm finding the good side in the drizzle - me and the smallies are snuggled up cosy indoors, we're making ring doughnuts later then we're going to hang them up and try eating them without using our hands!! Then fireworks round a friends house this evening. And I'm happy because I'm just off down the garden with a bowl of warm veggie and pasta treats for the hens and I LOVE giving them treats Mrs B
Paola
I am just having one of those 'happy to be alive' mornings and because DD1 has sorted all the clean undies, gone through the odd sock bin and matched a few, dusted the house, taken the dog out, done breakfast for DD2 and DS and is just about to hoover upstairs What a star Not sure what has happened to my real daughter, this one must be an impostor I must add that I have cleaned the bathrooms and a few other bits and bobs, not just sat on my bum on the forum
Lesley
I'm still happy because I'm finding the good side in the drizzle - me and the smallies are snuggled up cosy indoors, we're making ring doughnuts later then we're going to hang them up and try eating them without using our hands!! Mrs B You might want to try the 'Marshmallows on String' game then Mrs. B......................put three or four marshmallows on a string and tie each string to a broom handle. Have two adults to hold the broom handle - or rest it securely across the backs of chairs - hands behind backs............ We haven't stopped laughing since we did this last night! After the littlies had finished I brought out of hiding, more strung marshmallows for the adults........... I'm happy because Carl is taking some time off from working 7 days a week and is pottering around catching up on things like moving logs and sheep.........his adoring 'baby' Jazz is following him around. That just makes me smile
jlo
...I am just off to see another firework display even though it's pouring down with rain but there will be mulled wine to warm me up
Yorkshire Pudding
I'm happy because... I have a wonderful husband and two gorgeous kids. The boys are playing and laughing together after a busy afternoon in the garden on pet-cleaning duty, and OH is cooking lasagne for tea. Later OH and I are planning hot rum toddies to chase away the head colds we've both got this week I still have a cat despite her being very old and frail and she's still enjoying life. It's the little things in life .
crazygal
I'm happy because we just had the most ace impromptu bonfire party in the back garden (just the family)- just a fire, sparklers, and garlic bread/pizza to eat outside, and we had a great time!! After a little while son says "where are the chickens?" Nice to know he thought of them! But of course they were tucked up in bed (well, eglu). Goodness knows what they'd have done with the fire , well I know they'd have had a good go eating the pizza anyway And X Factor to look forward to too

MadMitch
Even though Wales got beat by South Africa. It was still a great day out. And it makes me goose bumpy and brings a tear to my eye everytime they sing the national anthem at Rugby.

Duckmomma
At the age of 52 I have found love again after fourteen years of being alone (a bad ending to a relationship left me bereft of all feeling towards the opposite sex) I am now deeply in love with a wonderfull man who was my uncles childhood best friend (only eight years my senior ) I am much more than happy... I could burst with happiness
Olly
oh how lovely! Congratulations duckmomma. There's hope for me yet ... Long may it last, and I hope you continue to be blissfully happy. I love this thread!
Valkyrie
How lovely - congratulations. OH's cousin is married to a man 14 years older (coming up to their 20th anniversary) - age makes no difference when you are on the same wavelength. Long may your happy relationship continue. Ooh snap Olly - you just pipped me - word for word almost!

jlo
I played golf this morning - and even though I was hoping that the course would be closed because I haven't played for ages and I was playing with the best player in the club - I did ok!! Also - I am off tonight to see the Vagina Monologues. Not sure what to expect but am going with my best mate so should be a bit of a laff
Olly
I've seen it twice Jlo and it is quite a laugh in parts, and quite moving in others. Hope you enjoyed it. I'm happy because I had a singing lesson tonight, and managed to get right through my new song which is the most difficult one I've ever done. Having lessons is one of the best things I've ever done for myself, it's brilliant fun and I wish I'd done it years ago!
