Lewis
I'm happy because ... I have some more work experience sorted It's really hard to find because of insurance etc. Good news! Where? At a Turkey Farm about 10 minutes away from me, it's been on the cards for quite a while. But they phoned today and confirmed dates and that I can go. I'm excited about it all. I've also been in contact with someone who may be able to arrange for me and 2 other people from my school who want to be vets, to go to Africa/New Zealand to do some volunteering over there . pistachio
hey Olly - I've recently started singing lessons and that makes me happy - although it's really hard work and very emotional. What were you singing?
pistachio
I'm happy because I had a singing lesson tonight, and managed to get right through my new song which is the most difficult one I've ever done. Having lessons is one of the best things I've ever done for myself, it's brilliant fun and I wish I'd done it years ago! Just realised I need to quote someone for them to know I'm replying to them. see above post
Olly
I'm singing 'O del mio dolce ardor' by Gluck - didn't know it before, and it's quite a difficult one but I'm absolutely loving it! I've sung for years in a choir, and I really enjoy that, but I've never had any lessons (and I don't really read music or understand much theory), I've just managed by working very hard and because I can hold a tune. What are you learning, pistachio? I'm interested to know what other people do in their lessons. I'm happy tonight because tomorrow is FRIDAY! Chickpea
I've just bought a car!! A lovely ice blue citroen berlingo can't wait to pick it up as soon as the cheque clears, will be able to fit in all sorts of gardening gubbins in there! And I've got the day off work yay! chickencam
My OH has never quite forgiven me for buying a Picasso instead of a Berlingo, and even I sometimes think that it would have been a lot more practical I am happy because I went late night shopping with OH last night and we had a real laugh, trying perfumes and aftershaves and he had fun finding me silly party frocks to try on. We gave up on serious shopping about 10 minutes in because we realised that most of the Christmas stuff was tat and bad value and we couldn't think of anyone we didn't like enough to buy it for We got back home at 9.45pm Debenhams was open until midnight with one pair of pretty pink suede shoes for YD £4 from £20 in Debenhams a pack of Christmas cookie cutters from Cargo for SIL, some gift packs of whiskey and port from M&S and one pair of jeans from M&S for me. No party frocks because most of them fitted my bottom half but not my top, I have narrow shoulders and southern boobs so not really very flattering but it was fun trying them on

Valkyrie
Happy birthday Clootie Junior! I am happy because last night DD left her phone on the bus. Called Stagecoach -your name will be forwarded on etc. Bus terminated in Andover, so we decided to go for a ride out cross country via Alresford. Spotted a blue cube and run in Preston Candover on the way - cooeee! Eventually found the bus depot, but no luck. Person very helpful and phoned round to Basingstoke and Alton just in case. Then we went to Whitchurch to our little organic shop (not mine personally, I'm just a customer) then Laverstoke Park organic farm. Saw 2 little baby buffaloes, sweet. Saw lots of teeny goldcrest birdies in some brambles flitting about. Then got the call from Stagecoach - a phone was handed in (the driver went home because it was late and found it when he came into work), so back we went. Luckily we hadn't gone home and we weren't too far away. It was DD's whoohoo, one very lucky girl! And I enjoyed my ride out too.

jackiepoppies
I bought a Picasso without the the OHs' say so. He has learned to live with it nd it's been a fantastic car! If I waited for him to make a decision I'd be in my coffin! I bought the last 3 houses on my own as well. That way he can't be held responsible if all goes upside down Never mind. I've got broad shoulders Jackiex
