Pressie time

Recommended Posts

Well, I received some lovely pressies and it ended up mostly being a 'joules' themed Christmas, (as in the brand), with my most useful pressies being from them. I got a lovely pair of leather knee high boots, some blue and cream striped wellies and a navy jacket.

I guess you're thinking that's really expensive, but none of the items were full price! All in all those three presents cost £60.

May I ask Seagazer what this nail machine is? I could do with a pamper sort of thing to cheer me up. Is it like a pink slider thing with stencil plates? If so, I once had one.

I used my Tefal electric jam maker today & made 4 pos of cherry jam. It's brilliant & I am so pleased with that prezzie. I could go & do other stuff whilst making jam, instead of standing over a hot pan stirring.

I shall have some on toast in the morning.

I shall be having a few belated prezzies, as seeing my sister in law on Wednesday. She was in Cuba on holiday & we will exchange prezzies on Wednesday. Hubby gave her some hints before Xmas. I haven't a clue!

We will also get a couple more chooks in a week or so, once we are over little Frenchie our Welsummer ( see stolen chicken thread).

My best prezzie was my sister being pregnant, although she wasn't well yesterday & not too good today. Sicky - Poor love.

I got a wormery. Does anyone know if I can put the sawdust I use as coop bedding in it?

I thought this was an apple press and was slightly disappointed, irrationally, that it wasn't. I thought a big square box was a lawn game. Turns out it was an apple press. I did very very well this Christmas and think my other half is an amazing gift giver. :D

OH and I didn't do presents for each other this year thanks to our joint family mobile bill being £1,000 last month

OMG!!! :shock::shock::shock:

Where have you been calling? Australia 24/7?????

I thought my family mobile bill was bad enough at £150! Don't think I'll be moaning too much now :)

It kinocked the wind out of my sail I can tell you! Daughter is working in France and hating it and rings me constantly to tell me! Actually we now just try to chat on MSN and ES seems to need to be in constant contact with his lovely girlfriend. On one day he did 89 texts. I've actually sat and watched him and its constantly going on. I blame blooming O2 for not ringing to tell us whats going on. We've now got him on unlimited texts. In the new year they are going to be paying part of their own bills.

Craftyhunniepie the automatic nail thing is like a handheld thing with batteries that files your nails :? Its going nowhere near my fingernails - I might give my toenails a go but I predict it will stay in the drawer until I throw it away in a couple of years. I wouldn't mind but I asked for a little charm to go on my non-existent troll bracelet :wink:

p.s. I should add that quite a bit of the bill was OH's work mobile bill (but the kids added up to about £500 :shock: )

Have you thought about using Skype? - it is free, easy to use and I chat to my son for free when he is abroad for months at a time. You can use it with a webcam or just use it as Messenger.
