Happy Birthday Feemcg.

After the howling gales last night and rain lashing on the windows on all sides, we woke up to sunshine. In all it has been quite a lovely day. A little sleet at lunchtime - with the sun still shining and I noticed a few dots again a short while ago. The wind blew the plastic coverings off the girls run so I have been out armed with more to protect them. Luckily the bungees held strong and the roofing stayed on very well.

Snowing here...and brilliantly sunny at the same time, Weird.

Isn't that funny ..... that's just what it was like here this morning. I sent my hubby a text to that effect and he replied, "yooor ooop north now!!" :?:?

Since then we have had snow balls, the sort of snow that looks like little balls is the only way I can describe it, proper snow and hail.

It's now sunny and the rooks from the nearby rookery are destroying my silver birch by stealing nesting material Grrrrrrrrrrrr:x :x:x

That is exactly what we have here. At first, when I was out earlier with a friend, we thought they were little bobbles of polystyrene drifting by.

Hi Everyone

What mixed up weather we have had in Preesall today. It started being every cold and dry then about 9 am the clouds moved in and it started to SNOW !!!! at the coast. This lasted for about 2 hours then stopped and the sun came out, it warmed up and the snow went as quickly as it came.

The rest of the afternoon was nice but then a cold wind started up, all the clouds have gone and the temperature is just about freezing now (9.30 p.m) but the wind has gone.

When Ian walked the dogs today on the coastal walk he said that he could see the snow on the tops of the hills in The Lake District.

So how has the weather been in your area of the world?

Best regards

Ian & Valerie

We had some sharp hail showers yesterday after a frosty start.

Woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow. We've got away with it lightly this time... thank goodness  Saw on the local news that there have been loads of cars & lorries stuck in snow for 6 hours overnight between Exeter & Bodmin!

My front and back gardens are like different climates

When I step out of the front door, the sun is warm and the crocus are open and tiny daffodils are in flower. When I go around to the back garden it is cold and windy with only sun at the bottom of the garden. The chooks came out of their run and headed straight for the sunny spots :D

Hi Everyone

After the frost of this morning we have had a lovely sunny day which is such a change from yesterday. But it looks like it is going to be a very cold night here in Preesall.

How has it been with the rest of Omlet worldly people as regards the weather?

Best regards

Ian & Valerie

Woke up to a little sprinkling of icing sugar on the borders - no snow on the grass. It then rained but the sun came out this afternoon and the sky is clear now. It's quite cold. My brother in Warminster had snow last night and a lot of snow again this morning.
