so for my 40th birthday today i didn't get a cube

......he come home with

 

 

2 tickets first class to NEW YORK........................staying in the 5* loews hotel for 4 nights.............with spends.............departing next thursday

What an amazing gift, how fantastically generous of your OH I am very :mrgreen:

 

Have you been before? If not don't miss out on the Rockefeller building - you get a view from the top floor of something you cant see from the Empire State Building and that is..... a view of the Empire State Building!

ooh fantastic! Wrap up warm though, before I went people said to me 'it's really cold there' and I thought, yeah, sure, how cold can it be?

 

Answer: VERY cold! Take a good thick coat, and gloves, scarf and hat.

 

It's a fab place, what a great present!

VERY good point - its freezing and the wind is biting at this time of year. We went last year and came back home for two weeks before going to Northern Finland where it was -28 we were colder in New York because we just were not prepared for the cold :shock:

 

Layers are a good idea!

Have a fantastic time... we went for new year a while ago... cold but fantastic.

 

A girls got to shop in new york, :think: so i think an acceptable compromise would be place an order on Omlet USA and get it delivered to the airport departure lounge... I'm sure first class could accommodate a little bittie cube?????? :whistle:
