Charlottechicken
It can't apply to the Omlet forum Since I had the chickens and joined this forum, I've been out in the garden every day come rain, snow or shine, I grow more veg, plant more stuff, am baking more, bought a breadmaker, and use it , generally eat healthier, get more exercise (from foraging and shopping to get all the fruit trees and bushes ), share ideas with a great bunch of people who are from all different social classes and educational levels, discuss diverse subjects (not just Eastenders, like they talk about at work ). I cry and laugh with forum members, attempt to help out if I can and am helped by you all. Nope, I don't think it applies on this forum Edited February 27, 2009 by Guest
Ain't Nobody Here
Hmm, yes, I saw that too . I don't reckon it means us - we all have a common interest and we talk about loads of different things (and a lot of us actually meet each other in "real life"). That's my story anyway . Saronne
How else would I make contact with so many people who share so many of my interests? Not only are we all obsessed with keeping hens, but many of us are into cooking, gardening, cinema, etc. And because we live all around the country (and places abroad, too), I probably would never have 'met' any of you any other way. So, on some sort of level, my life has been enriched... Saronne
little chickadee
Being disabled with small children, it's extremely difficult to get out and actually "socialise". Since joining the forum and lately, Facebook, I've been much more in touch with the outside world than I have been for years. I'm sure there are problems, but I'm fine and dandy! Charlottechicken
Sums it up perfectly. Apart from me using the wrong smily twice I am not confused about my use of the breadmaker and shopping for plants Showing my lack of education now

Lesley
The day that I don't learn something useful /receive support/have a question answered on this forum is the day I might consider giving it up.......
Valkyrie
This site has such a diverse range of people and interests that it can't possibly mean us. Our one connection is chickens. We learn from each other. I have learnt how to spend money big time on little things - and bigger things! The passata machine is the best and it even impressed OH! I have learned all about poo, worms, mites in more graphic detail than anywhere else. I have met nice people and shared Secret Santa pressies. I have learnt more about the weather around the country than by the news forecasts. Nah, def not us.
dancing cloud
I don't think this is us either. This forum is educational, entertaining, makes us laugh, makes us cry, lets us talk to people all over the UK and abroad about all sorts of subjects - and we even have get-togethers! . What more could anyone want?

Ardene5
Hi Everyone Used sensibly any site can be OK! If you think about this site it is a way of getting useful info from other members. Who ever wrote the ...... Get of ..... and get a life might not understand why sites like this are useful ... if you are house bound the only way to get help or friendship is by a site like this or others! How long has it taken to work out that a site is useless and a waist of space think he might be a waist of space and who paid him to write that rubbish. best regards Ian & Valerie

MedusA
Well I don't lack face to face social interaction. I talk to my chickens every day. Exactly! OH does say I need to get out more and talk to "people" rather than chooks.
jenuk99
I agree with all that has been said. I dont have chickens (maybe one day) but dont feel any less welcome because of it. and was glad to read about the talking to the chooks because I am always talking to my bunnies and get better responses from them than most people. Keep posting I say!! Jen
