Rhapsody
Last night OH and I went to my younger son's school for 'Cabaret Night' He's 14 and has Asperger's and the whole raft of learning and social difficulties that come with it. With a bravery most of us can only aspire to he did a stand-up comedy routine that brought the house down, including a piece he made up himself about how nuts his grandma is The whole evening was fab with all the boys with all their various problems putting their heart and souls into entertaining us. My son's best friend came with his family to support, even though he wasn't involved and practically every teacher was there. A truly heartwarming experience

Mrs Frugal
Well done to your son, Rhapsody . Having an 18 year old with Asperger's myself, I can really understand and appreciate how phenomenally proud you are feeling. Unless you've lived with a child with learning and social difficulties, you really can't appreciate how fantastic experiences like this make you feel and it makes everything you've gone through in the difficult days so worthwhile . feemcg
Wow.....a fantastic achievement for him. Isn't it great when our kids do things to make us proud.....and you realise you're not doing such a bad job after all (I'm always doubting myself ).
