I wrote on another thread how impossible it had got to groom her without ending up in A & E, and she is just rubbish at grooming herself, I blame her mother  So off up the vets we went, she had a mild anaesthetic and ended up looking very weird indeed :D I now groom what's left of her hair every day, and she is beginning to like it, got to really, it cost £128 to have her dematted, can't afford to do that again

I think she looks like a griffin :)

Oh dear, she does remind me of my cousin's cat! She's not impressed at all is she? That is one expensive hairdo as well.

I never like it when Cookie comes out of the groomers (who is a lovely lady and does a great job) because Cookie is normally an off white/cream colour (ok dirty white) and once she's been groomed she glows white and is all puffed up and looks to be frank, pretty silly

I'll have to post before and after pics. :D

Have you looked into professional grooming? They worked wonders with my skogcat when he got matted around his botty. He normally takes my hand off if I go near him, but I swear they have some kind of magic powers. It cost me £30 for a good brush and dry bath, which might be ok every few months or so to help you keep on top of it?

Here is their website and price list - they look to have put them up a bit, but they were BRILLIANT.

Thanks for that tip Auntie e. At the moment grooming is going well, she seems to enjoy it and even purrs when I brush around her head  She is still not keen on having her bum or tail brushed, so a professional groomer might be the answer every 3 months or so, I really don't want to put her through the trauma of a gen anaesthetic for a non surgical procedure ever again.
