Snowy
I thought you might like to see how out little lottie has progressed since we started in January. Remember what it looked like then? We didn't think we would get much planted this year. But look at it now! I still haven't cleared all the grass from mine so am having to at least keep it cut to prevent it reseeding everywhere. But we have growing: The onion and broad bean bed (with some fruit bushes and rhubarb down the left hand side): Brassicas, runner and french beans: Three small beds for squash, peas and sweetcorn (potatoes in the background): I have some purple podded pease! Looking around the site: My italian neighbour's artichokes - she has promised me a sample! What a difference 6 months makes!
Old Speckled Hen
What an inspiration you are. It looks marvellous and I am so I love those purple peas. Do you eat them like mange tout and do they stay purple?
Snowy
What an inspiration you are.It looks marvellous and I am so I love those purple peas. Do you eat them like mange tout and do they stay purple? Thank you! The purple peas are sadly green inside, and they are eaten as normal peas. Although I suppose they could be eaten as mange tout, but I'm not keen on them so won't be trying it!
