I've been ill for the past few days, so my mum rang the doctors today and they are very worried.

 

They said i'm showing ALL the signs of Swine Flu

 

 

So they said i can't leave the house and that i need a Flu buddy (Someone to go and fetch the meds i need)

I saw on the news that the Gov't is stopping trying to prevent spread now and just concentrating on treatment...so I thought that meant that there was no need to quarantine people?

Yep my nephew & mum said they will be my flu buddy...I hope my nephew doesn't get it cuz he's going back to wales on Monday

 

 

My mum needs to take photo ID & her bank card just to get the meds

 

 

I've have human flu quite often but this one is a little more worse (can't move without being in pain too)

 

 

My symptoms are:

 

Sickness

Fever

Headache

Joint Pains

Diarrhea

Runny Nose

Cough

 

 

 

I hope the chickens can't catch it

Just noticed you are in Walsall, we are the country's hotspot here in the West Midlands, so you aren't alone. Take it easy, normal flu is awful, I've had it three times, rarely get colds though

The great thing about it is everyone is doing stuff for me

 

 

 

My mum & younger sis kept joking saying i would probably be the first in our family to get it

 

 

My mum had a call from the doctors 24mins ago, saying that there is a health center or something like that, that they have to get my meds from.

 

 

They don't even want to test me, They said they have stopped testing for it in the West Midlands, they are just giving the tablets to anyone that has 2 or more of the Symptoms

I hope that you dont mind me asking but do you have a bad cough? I am convinced that my OH has had it but no one here is very interested. He has been for a chest xray today but despite him having had virtually every symptom bar going to Mexico no one has considered it

advise is the same as for normal seasonal flu, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF the virus seems to be mild as far as influenza goes but can still knock you off your feet for a few days, lots of guilt free rest extra fluids & paracetamol/ibuprofen and ring your GP again if you do not start to feel a little better after 4-5 days, it could take a few weeks before you are totaly back to normal
