Ygerna
I have an interview tomorrow. We have three children and it was always our intention for me to be home with them whilst they are young. However, I've seen a little job advertised with an opportunity for hours that actually fit around school times. As these are rarer than hens teeth, , I have decided to apply for it. Its 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, TERM TIME only. It is as a dinner lady at the school my DD attends, and where my Sons will start in 2010, and 2012 so even though I will be at work, (IF I get it) I will still be able to see them. So, please think of me tomorrow, about 10ish.

Ain't Nobody Here
Sounds absolutely ideal . Best of luck - I'm sure you'll get it . (I work during school hours (and terms) and it just makes life so much easier when you have school age kids . Trouble is, mine will have left school in 3 years time - have to think up a new excuse . Chickens? Dog? )

Happy chickens!
Good luck - is the job for cooking the dinners? Can you bring a little omlet magic to the school lunch?
Ygerna
Thank you all for your positive support The interview went well, a bit too well really, she wants to know if I would consider a different role, at a different school. Whilst I was very flattered I've given it some thought and really I only want the little job I applied for. The problem is, she thinks, given my experience and background, I will become bored. I tried to explain that my family are my priority, that a career move is not what I am chasing but, I don't think that she wants to risk it. I said all along that getting an interview would not be the problem but convincing them I really do want the little job would be. The other role being suggested leads me to believe that the original job I applied for wont be offered. I will hear Thursday. One way or another. Ygerna
I've decided I really only want the job I applied for. The other would be great, 3 years or so from now but at the moment, no. Oh well.
