Eeeky! Be them wedding bells?

Recommended Posts

One thing I do remember is that after we were married I had to go and change names etc at the bank. well the man said ok here are the forms sign your new name and I just couldn't for the life of me sign my name  I ruined a few forms.

In the end he gave me a notepad and said practice. The trouble was the way I write the Y on the end of my first name just didn't flow with the D in my surname so in the end I abbreviated my first name..

Omg Cookie, I haven't even started practising my new name! It's really long too! Oh heck!:oops:

 I even signed my old name a few times on cheques and things, had to start again.

Nope I didn't practice over and over... it's not that common a surname either so I was very proud to take it, my maiden name couldn't have been more common.. very glad to get rid of that.

Have a wonderful time - it sounds like it'll be a very special, understated and perfect day for you both. Let everything and everyone else drift out of your mind. Hope Deisy & co resolved dress trauma for you.

Can't wait to see piccies!

Almost 6 months on I'm still getting used to being called "Mrs ..." - it gives me butterflies every time I hear it!

Lots of love and wedding bells xx

Yay! Hope you had a great day, I got married last Saturday (19th) and after a week of being a Mrs both my hubby and I do feel different, we both have said to the other that what we thought of as a mega strong bond between us has become unbreakable somehow, so i hope that feeling lasts, it was a fantastic day and I  loads, but only tears of happiness. Many many congratulation :clap: (Here's a little pic of me & hubby getting confetti chucked at us, I know when I first mentioned ages ago about the wedding you guys wanted some pics!)

Congratulations Chicky - I hope you have a FABULOUS day!

and Chickpea - you look beautiful! I love your flowers!

On the subject of surnames, when I meet new people, they are often a little surprised by my surname, what with Le Monsieur being French, and my surname clearly English.

I know loads of women do change their surnames when they get married, and that is absolutely their choice. However, if you don't, know that you are not alone!

Le Monsieur sometimes suggests he take my surname, but I think that's because he's fed up with people not being able to spell/ pronounce his!:lol:

Chickpea your dress is lovely.... what a gorgeous colour .... you look wonderful.

Chicky, have a truly madly deeply day.

I was married just over two years ago after being widowed for 10 years.

I still have an old bank account in my previous name( after all a girl has to have a little independence) and often do get confused with my signatures :oops:

Here's the new Mr and Mrs
