Chook n Boo Mum

Was the monsoon I am dripping from forecast???

Sorry, but it has been lovely and sunny here today! Don't you just love Britain?

Friends of ours have just moved to Cyprus for the sun. Personally I don't envy them. I love the changeability and the drama of our weather - and the changing seasons. Imagine the same every day - even if it is sunshine. I am sorry, but you would miss out on misty November days with a mist in the air and kicking autumn leaves about. Icy January days with crystals forming on skeleton trees. April showeres intespersed with bursts of warm sunshine and that moment in May when suddenly all the verges are stuffed with cow parsley and everything is verdant and green.

(strains of Land of Hope and Glory at this point)

Let's all fight global warming which will make everyday like a mild wet autumn all year round, put on that extra jumper, turn down the central heating, and celebrate....

Boring British weather.

We've certainly had a bit of rain haven't we Sha :roll: I got caught in it this afternoon.

At least I don't have to water the garden now...although the chooks may need rubber rings and arm bands if the standing water in the back garden gets much higher

All home now, safe and dry :D Fire is on...but I'm fighting the cats for a space near it to warm my toes

Its dry in South West Wales, haven't long put my girls back in after their afternoon free-ranging, but it does look like its going to pour down soon.

It's been raining all afternoon here in Cardiff. I got soaked getting Danny from school, and he was soaked after walking home. 1.gif

Yuck!

hey

I've just got home from running my aunt home and it's a good thing because the local motorway is only passable in the middle of both lanes and one of the roads leading to my house has water foutaining out of the drain. I hate this area of kent and rain. The consept of drains that actually drain water never seems to have been thought of even on the new roads.

Well I'm hoping the rain stops over night as promised as I have a mountain of towels and bedding to get dried :roll: and of course after the washing machine packing up a few weeks ago...now the tumble dryer has decided to stop working :wall::wall:

I'd offer for you to drop it over & dry it in mine whilst we have a natter & cuppa but we are inspecting a new school for DD tomorrow

I've a number for a lovely man who "does" our machines when they go wrong, if you want it PM me. He's local to you....

Oh good, we are not alone in our sogginess which is oddly comforting :D

I've been & shut all the doors on the cubes & eglus so the heat the chooks produce will dry their feathers hopefully, I opened the nestbox on (cube lilac) & poor little Snowdrop is looking very bedraggled :(

I hope everything dries out a bit tomorrow, all it takes is for the sun to go behind a cloud and our part of the A27 floods, so the traffic will be a nightmare in the morning :anxious:

DS is supposed to be playing a rugby match tomorrow away at another school which is just as well because "where we once had a rugby pitch Mum, there's now a pond!":lol::lol:
