My new babies ***all grown up***

Recommended Posts

I make a cup of black tea, then let it cool. I then dip cotton balls in the cold tea and gently swab over the eye until the goo is gone. it never seems to irritate them even when it goes into their eyes, so i don't think it stings them, and it certainly lifts off any crusty stuff that has formed if their eyes are weeping.

I use about 4 cotton balls each time, morning and night, and a fresh cup of tea each time, just remember to make the tea ahead of schedule so it has time to cool  .

Oh yes  , forgot about that. That happened to me the first time  . I was putting the used pieces of cotton wool down in a pile as I had used them, then seconds later, Lilly my light sussex was off, and running around with them in her mouth  . Chase and chicken wrestling ensued :lol::lol: , but I won in the end  .

Drat, I tried not to look - but I did. Garghhhh! Wuvly powder puffy girls. You can go off people you know Chicklewiggle!

:lol: Sorry Koojie, these little bundles haved me wrapped round their little claws already.:lol:

Thanks for the cold tea tip everyone, managed to do it today and once i had her on my lap she didnt seem to mind it at all, i imagine it must be very soothing for her. There is no discarge from the eye but when she does open it, it looks a bit sore inside so it could have been a well aimed peck from one of the others maybe. Apart from the eye though she seems absolutely fine. :D
