BarbaraJ Posted January 12, 2010 Share Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) I can only share this on here nowhere else like facebook as i have to keep it secret and its killing me lol My daughter left for Australia last June for a year with her BF who is doing a Uni swap for a year. They stayed in Lismore(nr Brisbane) but the job market was rubbish ( daughter has worked since 15 and will do anything) so when Uni finished for their summer they moved to Melbourne to stay with my BIL but jobs were still hard to find so out of the blue she rang to ask us to lend her the money to come home. Now i didnt sound to excited as she must have been upset to leave her BF as he has to stay and go back to Uni until June but she is excited too now as she misses home and her family and knows she has a job to go back to here i missed her sooo much at christmas the best bit shes home next Monday so home for my birthday on the 22nd only me and hubby know as she wants to surprise her sister and brother She did suggest hiding in her brothers bed and jumping up when he came home but i said she'd give him a heart attack Edited January 18, 2010 by Guest Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My daughter, her husband and my 2 year old grandson have just returned to the UK after living in Dubai for 3 years. Emma.x i think your right she was so annoyed to not get work though she tried everywhere she said she's rather come back here where she worked at Asda for 3 years + while at Uni and other places before that and knows she can go back to another job she left last June, than struggle to survive over there. chelsea Posted January 12, 2010 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Funnily enough, my friend's brother moved out to Melbourne a couple of years ago - she was going to follow him out there (got accepted by immigration etc) and went out for a holiday last year and didn't like Melbourne at all.
