Lovely again - bit of a bitter wind in the shade, but in the sun and sheltered spot it's gorgeous. We had another deep frost this morning and the ground is still pretty solid - hear the garden fork go boinnnnggggg!

-5 here too this morning and yesterday too. I had trouble digging carrots at the allotment yesterday morning and this morning the chook water took some breaking into and the pond pump had frozen up.

Lovely here. Bright blue sky and still a heavy frost in shaded parts of the garden. Hens water frozen first thing.

Lots of plants are starting to poke through in the garden... I love this time of year! It feels as though everything is starting to wake up after a long sleep!

We have had the most glorious weather all weekend with the sun out on the snow and its gorgeous - the snow is starting to go now but still cannot see any grass in the back garden - the borders round the front of the house have purple crocuses out!! - in the heat off the house but not a lot else to see and cannot get into greenhouse yet - snow still that end of the garden - hens paths getting wider every day so they are better pleased but not much wandering yet. Tonight frost again - not had for a few days

Much milder this morning; 2deg first thing as opposed to yesterday's -5. Light cloud, which seems to be lifting.

There are two rather nice looking young men with chainsaws felling a tree in my neighbour's field.

The poor chooks are going to be off lay for days. Their coop and run is under some of the branches. What a racket!!!

Sunny cold start here -3 at 7am, but by 8am it was just above freezing, then by 9am it was cloudy. Sunny again now and a bit milder with a lighter windthan the past few days.
