Cooks
This is my new freerange area with removable fencing panels, this will enable me to rest one area then rotate as necessary. Hubby made the panels after great thought about stopping them hopping up and over, I think his design is great
Lewis
Looks good! I was expecting it to be half the size of that - lucky chucks. Wonder how long they'll take to eat all the grass?
Cooks
well when its across the back of the garden rather than here it's bigger, so this feels small to me.. but that's a price they will have to pay for fresh grass and new smells and areas to dig up.. Ain't Nobody Here
That's looks really swish, CM . Congrats to OH - it's very pleasing to the eye (and I like the anti-chicken-hopping-on-fence device ).
Cooks
aww thanks I will tell him as he really worked hard on these, especially so that they can freestand (ish) withthe aid of metal stakes attached to them. I dont 'think' a chook could hop over, or under now... but I am sure they will try to prove me wrong..

Are all the panels seperate? and how are they attached to each other. I feel OHs next project coming on

Cooks
I well tell him you all like his work, he loves praise so that'll please him heaps  Yes Stevie I just hated the netting, it didn't matter if I pegged it down the girls got under and so did the dogs... this should be much better plus I can move them about a lot easier

sjp
can I be cheeky and ask if you could post a close up photo so I can see how you designed them to stand up as my first atempt is a failure
Cooks
I will see what I can do later edited to add close up pictures from the chickens side, I have left the photos big to help you see, hence the links. Theres a lot of different ways of doing this but hubby just used what he had available. The metal staktes were what I was using with my knowles netting http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm5/hullahoop777/002-9.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm5/hullahoop777/001-8.jpg
