The Dogmother
Anyone else tried this? A friend read an article in the papers (probably this one) about how it beats spots off 'designer brands', specifically the serum being better than No 7 Protect and Perfect. I have tried the serum, which is only £3.49 and found it to be fabulous, as is the body lotion. I think I may be converted from my Protect and Perfect! ClaireG
I've tried the moisturiser and the eye cream but not the serum. Will have to see if they have any in my local store.
LisaP
Both DD and I use their moisturiser, cleansing wipes and eyeshadows but I haven't seen the serum - might be because our store is only small, will have to check next time I'm in there. Christian
Have been using the moisturiser for a few months and love it. We don't have Aldi near us, but my Mum brings us 4 pots every few months. Nice feel to it without being gloopy (sp)? Lasts a while too
Cinnamon
Hmmmmmmmmmmm.......thought it would take a lot to make me try anything other than Protect & Perfect, but I am tempted...
ali-s
At night I use the Lacura Q10 restorative cream for mature skin. It is a silly price, something like £1.79 and lasts for ages. In the morning I use Lacura double lift for mature skin. This is a gel serum and a cream. I love this, it is so light and makes my skin very soft. More expensive than the moisturiser at £6.99 but well worth it. I used Boots Protect and Perfect until I was converted to Aldi
The Dogmother
Hmmmmmmmmmmm.......thought it would take a lot to make me try anything other than Protect & Perfect, but I am tempted... Well I use P&P, tried this on recommendation when my P&P ran out, and haven't looked back since. The texture is slightly different, but at that price it was worth a try. Let me know if you can't get it Sarah as there's an Aldi near me. I use it under my regular moisturiser.
Cinnamon
No its OK, they do sell it in my local one...will pick a few bits up next time I am in there, as I am nearly out of everything anyhow
The Dogmother
I haven't tried the skin cream yet, but that's next on the list. I am converted to the body lotion though.
Christian
According to my Mum, the Aldi version of touche eclat is better than the branded one. Plus is it costs nothing compared to the 'gold' one.
Charlottechicken
Looks interesting I'm sure Lidl face stuff came out really well in a newspaper survey a while ago. Maybe it's all made by the same company? Someone told me that Boots Expert scar serum has the same ingredients as P&P so I bought one when there was an offer on, it's only around £4.50 . Haven't tried it yet though, I have a whole P&P tube to get through first. Also, I'm just finishing a P&P intense and I'm sure it's not as good as the normal P&P. I was after some touche eclat on the flight home but they had run out! I had save some euros to pay for it too
Cinnamon
Also, I'm just finishing a P&P intense and I'm sure it's not as good as the normal P&P. Really? I have been very impressed with it
bluekarin
I am currently saving up my Boots points to buy the P&P, but after reading this, I may have to just save my points (or spend it on some perfume ) and get me some of this stuff. Only trouble is, we don't have an Aldi near us
Cinnamon
Dragging up this old thread.................... Bought some of this last week - a night Q10 moisturiser (very nice) plus a shimmering day cream, which frankly makes me look like a Twighlight reject My youngest now uses the shimmery stuff on her legs! Overall I am impressed with everything, BUT the smell of the stuff, which is just hideous - a sort of fake peach Will try to get the serum next time I am in,as they were out of stock - hopefully it is fragrance free! The Dogmother
*Ummmmm* I hate to have to tell you this.... I hate the smell too, but honestly don't notice it after the first few seconds.
Cinnamon
Oh dear - I can still smell it on me now Better stick with the old stuff, then ..............
Old Speckled Hen
Mmmmmmm yes smell isn't pleasant. I put some on after a bed time bath once and my DH put his arms round me in bed, staring into my eyes and said, "Blimey! What have you put on? You smell like an old lady" I'll stick with my Clarins thanks .......one of my few expensive indulgences (the other being bees and hens)
The Dogmother
Whatever you do, don't buy the body lotion for dry skin (blue bottle it is so thick as to be almost impossible to apply! I shan't bother with their body lotions any more.
Tiggy
Ive used the wipes & moisturiser and they seem fine, maybe I'll give the other things a miss - thanks Claret

Goldstar
I use the sensitive skincare wipes which are really good. I havent really paid much attention to the rest of the range, does anyone know whether they do the moisturiser for sensitive skin or any other lotions/creams/serums in a sensitive range, and if so does anyone use them. I suffer with rosacea (sp) and need to be careful what I put on my skin. I am very wary about trying new things incase my skin flares up. Gelbel
I've just come back from Aldi and wanted to let people know that I LOVE the Lacura skincare range from Aldi so I thought I'd reuse this thread rather than start a new one. I have been using the (pink top) Q10 restorative cream on my decollette and the double lift cream on my face for 6 months now and I just have to praise them. The improvements on my poor old thin, getting wrinkled, over sun-bathed chest is amazing and I know the fine lines on my face appear much less. But it's my neck that's seen the best improvement - I had three deep creases - not any more - they are definitely shallower. I always use high strength Protect and Perfect but I when I was bulk buying a load of my Lacura usuals today I managed to get my hands on the serum - I did not realise how big the bottle is. So I can't wait to try that. Re the smells I find it's the night cream (blue top) and day cream (green top) pots of moisturiser that pong more. I had to stop night cream as it made my eyes smart and I fancy its richness gave me spots. Have you tried the make up? I LOVE the cappucino lipstick which I wear with a top coat of the white crystal lip gloss as it is very matt. I've one of each in the three main hand bags I use. I also keep a transparent (their words not mine) powder compact in my hand bags too. I've tried the volume mascara - it's not that good but, again, for emergency touch ups I have one in the hand bags. What's good about all of the make up I've tried is that the packaging looks classy and the products are quite compact so they don't take up too much room. I am taking the plunge and trying their hair colour over the weekend. And finally, scanning the above - I use the shower cream (the blue, classic moisturing one) but found the body lotion to greasy for me. A luxury hand wash is on all my sinks. Oh - just one more thing, Aldi's whitening toothpaste tastes horrible.

Omletina Kyckling
I've been using their serum for a while and have given up on P&P in favour of it. Mum says the eye creams is very good (she also says M&S eye cream is good too)
