Cinnamon
I have a chest infection,so I am going to be resting a lot & enjoying the sun We are having a Barbeque on Sunday, & The Hubby is off for a couple of days which is always nice.I think he is going fishing with a mate & Cleo sometime over the weekend. I am also planning on planting out my lettuce, spring onions & radishes, & maybe tidying up the patio & borders ready for the summer,if I feel well enough. I should be doing the hoovering & cleaning, but do you know what, the sun is shining & I just can't waste an opportunity like this to get out into the garden Edited April 6, 2007 by Guest
Looney
Hope you feel better soon. Not sure what our plans are as OH is being indecisive....we may be going out to night to meet his friends, in which case there is no way he'll be up in time to go to Jimmy's Farm tomorrow so one depends on the other I've already been out and about this morning to do the shopping and get a few bits and pieces (was in town by 8.30am) and now I'm about to go and paint the fence and potter around the garden - oh happy days! AnnieP
Gardening with a vengeance today, before it totally gets away from us... Barbeque tonight (well, you have to after a hard day working in the garden ), then tomorow off to London for the day to see the Mighty "Ooops, word censored!"nal (hopefully) thrash West Ham. Sunday, mucking out, chook cleaning and switching over from the garden to trimming and layering the hedgerow along our paddocks and in the evening we have an dear elderly neighbour coming who has broken her arm to join us for supper. Monday frantic house cleaning from top to bottom before Mother, Father and Mother In Law come to stay for a few days Tuesday to Friday (yes, all of them together: they get on really well)... Phew! I'll be exhausted by next Friday, but will celebrate then with a curry with Christian and his OH.
Jaime
Hope you are feeling better soon - there's nothing like feeling rough when everyone else appears to be enjoying themselves. My OH has man-flu. Too poorly to do anything but I can hear him shouting very choice language upstairs at the computer because it wont do something he wants. I've been for a chat with my chooks and fed them left overs from last nights tea. I need to have some garden fencing fitted soon so my plan had been to dig out some of the hedge separating next doors garden and take it to the tip. We've also got some manky bananas so was thinking I could make banana and pecan loaf later. So nothing eggciting happening in Stockport then. chelsea
Hubby worked over night last night. We've been in the garden all day today, doing nothing - just sat yapping looking at the garden deciding what we are going to do to it this spring. I made lovely giant salad baguettes and the chickens came up and joined us for lunch on the decking (for crumbs) and the dog too !! Gardening tomorrow, hubby making a step in the garden and we are over my sisters tomorrow night with the family for a chinese takeaway. Im so glad we are not going away this weekend, SO many accidents on the M5 (16 mile tailbacks today). Get well soon Sarah.
Guest
Church, church, church, church, church, wedding at church, church, church, church! (I jest not!) Then on Monday we're going to London - and to Evensong in St Paul's! Busman's holiday really, but one of my choristers is singing and the music will be great! red
Gardening gardening gardening today with a nice al fresco lunch - very productive tidy-up of all the dead leaves and fern ends, tamed all the ivy etc and Mr Red dissapeared into our hedge not to be seen to tidy it up a bit ready for summer. Started the hens on their Flubenvet (but they're not eating many of their pellets - have kept them in the run all day to make them realise their not getting anything else) Tomorrow we're off to RHS Rosemoor which isn't far from us then call into mother's house to collect the crab that she is getting for me today when she calls in at Port Isaac in Cornwall - then we will make a water feature for the garden and then eat our crab Not sure about SUnday yet - probably more gardening and a walk on the beach and to play with my new digital SLR camera Monday - am on call - half expecting to be called out because long hot summer days and a bit of booze are usually a recipe for a bit of trouble Then more gardening and lounging around. Whew.
Guest
We've got a long weekend of packing, and cleaning, ready for the move on Wednesday. I'm alos considering staying up overnight to keep an eye on the garden - Some chavvy type was peering over the fence this afternoon, checking out chookiehubbies bike, and the empty Eglu, oblivious to the fact he was being watched. All of a sudden, our reasons for wanting to move have come flooding back to me!

Helly Welly
We intended to spend two days at the allotment and then just take itt easy for two days. Unfortunately the rotovator has decided to pack up so everything is taking twice as long and so we'll be at the allotment for all four days. Still in this weather i don't mind really. Guest
Some chavvy type was peering over the fence this afternoon It wasn't me Shona I did have to give them a second glance, but I'm pretty certain you would have come to the front if you were visiting, Lesley! They had no hair though, so despite the chavviness, I decided it wasn;t you....
